Cross-functional project manager for the engineering department

Are you ready to take a leadership role in some of Artelia's large, interdisciplinary construction projects?

This position is for you who have the ability to manage large interdisciplinary construction projects with many trades and stakeholders. Our tasks range from technically advanced research facilities and hospital projects to commercial and residential building with high ambitions for sustainability. You will have good opportunities to develop in the job and to spar with project managers across Artelia when complex issues need to be solved.

Your role as a project manager

• You are responsible for leading, planning and delivering the services on the project in collaboration with the client, the relevant project staff and with sparring from the person responsible for the project.
• Together with the department heads and any technical leads you set up the project team and ensure they have the right competencies to deliver the service.
• You take responsibility for managing interfaces and for finding solutions with the project team, partners and the client.
• You take responsibility for the project's success through good communication with the client, good leadership of the team and by managing time, quality and Artelia's project economy.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and partners.
• You should be eager to join a team and thrive on taking responsibility – both professionally and personally

Project Manager in a technically strong design/construction department

The department is anchored in the division Technology & Design , which employs about 150 employees across 9 departments. The division covers several technical disciplines – including structures, electrical installations, HVAC, BMS and lighting design. You will join one of the two design/construction departments, where project managers, design engineers and BIM operators work closely together to solve the complex projects.

We collaborate across Artelia's divisions and bring in the necessary specialist knowledge from other departments with specialties such as renovation, transformation, facilities, sustainability, acoustics, fire, cost management and more.

Your profile

• You are a civil engineer with a minimum of 7 years' design experience as a structural engineer
• You have at least 5 years' experience as a project manager
• You understand working across disciplines and leading interdisciplinary teams
• You have a flair for planning and managing projects
• You can put yourself in the customer's shoes and challenge the customer
• You are responsible and engaged also in relation to your colleagues
• You have a strong desire to be part of the journey in a growing company
• You are responsible and good at maintaining an overview
• You are outgoing, engaged and thrive with change and challenges

Your primary tasks

• Project management on cross-disciplinary construction projects
• Lead your projects and create engagement and motivation in your project teams
• Planning, management and coordination of all phases of the project
• Planning, coordination and management of resources and schedules
• Financial management and reporting to the project lead
• Communication with clients, authorities and other stakeholders
• Be responsible for finance, time, quality and risks
