The Daycare Institution Tved is under development as the profile institution for the curriculum theme Culture, Aesthetics and Community in Kolding Municipality . Therefore we are looking for a trained pedagogue for a special position as a culture pedagogue.

We are looking for you who are passionate about children’s encounter with culture, creativity and aesthetic learning processes – and who want to be an inspirer, role model and driving force in the development of pedagogical practice.

You will have a fixed base at the Daycare Institution Tved, but your tasks extend beyond the building. You will help develop new methods, learning environments and competence-enhancing initiatives and help to bring knowledge and inspiration to the other day care services across the entire Kolding Municipality, so we can together succeed even better with this curriculum theme.

A position with two perspectives

As a culture pedagogue you will become a central driving force in the development of the profile institution.

It is therefore crucial that you not only have good ideas, but also can create followers around them . You must be able to inspire staff, create engagement and make others see the possibilities in new approaches.

You must be able to move between practice with children and development work with adults. One day you may be in the workshop with children to explore creative learning processes and support communities. The next day you may facilitate a development program, provide professional sparring or develop materials that can be used across the municipality.

In other words, you must both be able to lead, stand beside and support the adults, and also create something together with children and create frameworks that enable others to be even better at creating something together with children.

Your tasks

You will play a central role in developing and translating the vision for Culture, Aesthetics and Community into pedagogical practice. Your tasks will include, among other things, to:

• develop the Daycare Institution Tved as Kolding Municipality’s profile institution for Culture, Aesthetics and Community, and develop inspiring learning environments, creative workshops and aesthetic spaces
• plan and carry out culture and creativity offerings for children and develop and test pedagogical methods and learning processes based on culture and aesthetic learning processes
• be a role model and inspirer in practice and support staff through practice-oriented sparring, shared reflection and competence development
• develop culture boxes and inspiration materials for cross-daycare use
• establish and develop collaborations with cultural institutions, associations and other relevant actors and contribute to planning and participation in network meetings about the curriculum team
• document, evaluate and disseminate experiences, methods and results and contribute to knowledge sharing and quality development across the municipality’s day care area.

Who are you?

First and foremost you are a trained pedagogue. You have a strong pedagogical professionalism and a desire to use it in a role where you work directly with children and help develop other staff’s practice.

• can translate visions, ideas and professional knowledge into concrete pedagogical practice
• are curious, creative and development-oriented and have the courage to try new ideas and develop solutions together with others
• have good communication and presentation skills and can convey professionalism in a way that creates motivation and desire to try new things
• have strong relational competencies and can provide inspiration as well as create followers, engagement and ownership around new ideas
• can work independently and systematically with documentation, evaluation and knowledge sharing and create progress in development tasks
• thrive with being close to children as well as facilitating learning, reflection and development for adults

It is an advantage if you have experience with the 0-6 age group, aesthetic learning processes, creative working methods or facilitation of learning and development processes – but the most important is your pedagogical professionalism, your commitment and your desire to make a difference.

You will become part of something that is already moving

Daycare Institution Tved is the parent institution for both the Sports Kindergarten and the Music Kindergarten . The three houses each have their own profile, but are also part of a strong community with good opportunities to develop practice together.

We already have established collaborations across the houses, own bus and a culture of sharing ideas, experiences and professional knowledge.

Working hours and organization

The position is 37 hours per week , organizationally anchored in the Daycare Institution Tved and reporting to the day care manager.

Working hours are planned flexibly in relation to tasks. As the position may also involve events and development programs, some activities may take place outside the ordinary opening hours of the day cares.

Salary: According to current collective agreement: For the interview you should bring your salary expectation, as BUPL has delegated the right to negotiate in new hires to the local TR who participates in the interview.
