About the job

Do you want to help create a school for as many children as possible?

At Trekløverskolen, Græse Bakkeby department, we are seeking a trained teacher for the lower primary and middle grades who wants to be part of a school where community, academic excellence and opportunities for participation for all children are central.

We operate with an ambition to be a school for as many children as possible. For us this means that we are continually curious about how we can develop the teaching, the learning environments and the communities so that more children feel they belong, participate and succeed.

That requires something from us as professionals. We must dare to be curious about our own practice, think flexibly and find solutions together. You should be eager to be part of that.

What will you teach?

We are first and foremost looking for the right colleague, and therefore we will, as far as possible, design the position based on your professional qualifications, competences and interests.

In the long term we see you as a Danish teacher in the lower primary or the middle grades, but the concrete combination of subjects and tasks we will determine together. For us the most important is that you are a skilled and engaged teacher who wants to contribute to our collective ambition to create a school for as many children as possible.

Please tell us what you are particularly good at, what you are passionate about, and what you would like to bring into play with us.

With us you become part of

  • A department of Trekløverskolen with about 220 students from 0-6.
  • An engaged collegial community where we solve the task together.
  • A school with co-teaching and shared planning as important elements of our practice.
  • Professional learning communities where we explore and develop teaching together.
  • A school where we work purposefully to create strong academic and social communities with room for different ways of being a child and a learner.
  • Opportunities for professional development and further education.
  • Flexibility in timetable and duties so that your strengths, interests and qualifications can be put to best use.
  • A scenic location close to Frederikssund and colleagues who are both academically ambitious and committed to creating a good workplace.

We are looking for you who

  • Is trained as a teacher and eager to make a difference for children.
  • Is academically ambitious and committed to good teaching.
  • Has clear, calm and strong relationship-based classroom management.
  • Sees children's participation as a shared professional responsibility.
  • Is curious about what lies behind a child's actions, and what we as adults can do differently when something becomes challenging.
  • Has an eye for both the individual child and the community.
  • Can stand by your professional judgment and at the same time be willing to examine and develop your own practice.
  • Sees teamwork, co-teaching and shared planning as a strength.
  • Wants to contribute to developing learning environments so that more children have the opportunity to succeed in them.

And perhaps the most important...

You don’t need to have all the answers.

But you should be willing to ask the questions together with us.

When a child has difficulty participating, we are focused on investigating what the child is signaling, what the community needs, and what we adults can change in the framework and our practice.

We believe that diversity is a given in the school, and that good solutions are created together. Therefore we are looking for a colleague who will contribute with their expertise and be curious about others.

If you can see yourself in the ambition to create a school for as many children as possible, we would love to hear from you.
