Danish teacher sought for maternity-leave substitute at Fjelsted Harndrup School

At Fjelsted Harndrup Children’s Universe we are seeking a professionally skilled and engaged Danish and classroom teacher for our 6th grade.

The position is a maternity leave replacement for 32 hours.

Fjelsted Harndrup Children’s Universe is located in the eastern part of Middelfart and consists of a single-track primary school with about 90 pupils across grades 0–6, a before- and after-school program (SFO) and a day care with about 50 children. We are a staff group of nearly 40 dedicated employees, including 13 in the school/SFO part.

In the children’s universe you are part of something bigger – we are a place where coherence, safety and continuity in children’s lives and learning are fundamental values. We work closely together – both about the individual class, the school and the universe as a whole. You will therefore have the opportunity to, and should want to, contribute to the direction – there is a short path from idea to action.

We place high value on professionalism and well-being, and we are good at using the outdoors and the nature around us. We are an attractive children’s universe and have a continuous focus on this. We emphasize a small teacher-principle, as this supports strong relationships between teacher and students, a safe and predictable everyday life and coherence.

Our student group is composed of students with very different backgrounds, and we include them all. We have high student well-being and students who are motivated to learn.

About you

• You are a trained teacher
• You have Danish as a major subject
• You have the competence to teach the following subjects at 6th grade: Danish, English, History, Science/Technology
• You have the competence to teach the following subjects at 3rd grade: English and History
• You are ready to take on the role of class teacher in our 6th grade
• You are professionally skilled and engaged
• You have strong relationship skills, and you are a capable and clear classroom leader
• You have a positive outlook on life and a calm and appreciative approach to the students
• You meet children, parents and colleagues professionally and are open and approachable
• You are good at collaborating with parents and value this highly
• You want to be part of a small community where there is a good atmosphere and room to breathe

Salary and terms of employment

Workplace: Fjelsted Harndrup Children’s Universe

Hours: 32 hours

Start date: 01.12.2026

Salary placement is according to the agreement for teachers and similar in primary schools and special education for adults, our pre-agreements and any individual allowances based on special competencies, knowledge or experience.

The position’s salary range as a teacher will be from DKK 32,272.40 up to DKK 37,899.25, depending on the candidate’s seniority, further education and personal competencies.

The salary range is a monthly salary excluding pension.

Within the above salary range there is a special Middelfart allowance of DKK 1,310.79 according to our pre-agreement.

A child and criminal background check will be obtained.
