Danish Vegetarian Association seeks political communications officer

Dansk Vegetarisk Forening is seeking a colleague for an exciting position as Political Communications Officer. As the central plant-based actor in Denmark, Dansk Vegetarisk Forening needs a colleague in a newly created position to strengthen the plant-based agenda and ensure that our political communication comes to life in public debate.

Your tasks

• Formulate the association's political messages in a stylish, balanced and sharp way
• Write texts for newsletters and opinion pieces in collaboration with the rest of the policy and communications team
• Develop simple and easy-to-understand graphics for presentations, website, social media, etc.
• Help make your colleagues' political presentations beautiful, precise and readable
• Develop print advertisements about, for example, skewed agricultural subsidies based on existing data and previous campaigns, including writing copy and creating mock-ups for our graphic designers
• Assist our content manager with delivering our political core points on social media
• Act as a link between our political team and our communications team and ensure that the two teams work together optimally

You will formally report to our Communications Manager, but will also receive tasks directly from our Secretary General and our political team.

We imagine that you

• Have a background in communications, preferably with experience from similar roles
• Write clearly, precisely and faultlessly in Danish
• Can work independently with simple graphic tools (Canva or similar) and quickly produce short and impactful texts, graphics and presentations
• Have knowledge of the political area DVF works within, and can translate complex messages into something everyone can understand
• Can quickly get up to speed with DVF's tone of voice and recurring core arguments and carry out your daily work in accordance with the association's values and change theory
• Are skilled at executing and thrive in a fast-paced environment when a case requires a quick response
• Are a good team player who can work closely with our other teams on debate pieces and political initiatives
• It is an advantage if you have some understanding of health and nutrition-related topics within diet and food policy – or are quick to get to grips with them.

A daily life with flexible framework

Your day-to-day work will take place at our secretariat located at Vester Voldgade 2. 2nd floor left. We currently have 38 colleagues here, of whom 5 work from Jutland and Funen. We focus on arranging work to suit individuals' needs, and we practice, for example, weekly home days and flexible working hours. We have a friendly social environment and place high value on good collegiality.

Start date, hours and salary

We are seeking a colleague who can start as soon as possible and no later than January 1, 2027. We can offer a position of 37 hours per week with a monthly salary from January 1, 2027 of 37,415 DKK (including allowances) – or down to 30 hours per week with a corresponding reduction in pay. The salary is not negotiable, as we have a very flat salary structure. In addition, we offer an employer-paid pension at 11% and 6 weeks of vacation.

Lunch break is unpaid; however, we have a very good and partly employer-paid lunch scheme with 100% plant-based food, and we also have coffee, tea, fruit and nut provisions.
