Danish- and class teacher for 4th grade

Do you want to be the class teacher for a 4th grade in a school where relationships, academic excellence and community go hand in hand?

At Esajasskolen in Hvidovre we are looking for a committed Danish- and class teacher who can create a safe and motivating learning environment while being a clear and present teacher.

With us you will become part of a smaller school with short decision chains, close collaboration and the opportunity to influence the school's development. We place a high value on proximity, both between students, parents, staff and management.

What will you teach?

In this school year the timetable will include, among others

• Danish, English and Christianity in 4th grade
• Class teacher in 4th grade
• English teaching in smaller groups
• German in 5th and 6th grade
• Physical education in 5th grade
• Support hours
• Possibly music,

If not all subjects fall under your areas of strength, we would still love to hear from you. The most important is that you are passionate about the Danish subject and can see yourself as a class teacher.

There is the possibility of part-time employment.

• are a qualified teacher or have equivalent qualifications
• are passionate about the Danish subject
• are clear in your classroom management
• can build strong relationships with students and parents
• see the value of close collegial collaboration
• can identify with the school's Christian values

You will become part of a community

At Esajasskolen we emphasize good collegial collaboration, where you can share experiences and seek sparring from both colleagues and management. As a new employee you will receive a thorough introduction to the school, and in the first period there will be opportunities for support and sparring so you can settle well into daily life.

Professional development with a broad view

At Esajasskolen we want not only to develop our students but also to develop ourselves as professionals.

Therefore we actively invest in employees' professional development. In recent years, teachers from the school have attended courses and study trips in, among other places, Norway, Ireland and Germany. We participate in Erasmus collaborations and have initiated a collaboration with a school in Germany, which provides opportunities for both professional inspiration and international perspectives.

We want to be a school that stands firmly on its own values while also being curious about the world around us.

About Esajasskolen

Esajasskolen is a Christian Free School in Hvidovre with about 260 pupils.

We are big enough to accommodate many competencies and small enough so that everyone knows each other. Our Christian view of people shapes everyday life through closeness, respect, care and responsibility.

We are looking for a teacher who can see themselves in a school where the Christian value foundation is a natural part of daily life. Please tell us what that means to you.

Employment is made under the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Teachers’ Central Organisation.
