Skørbæk-Ejdrup Friskole is seeking a skilled teacher with strong subject knowledge and a heart for friskole life!

We are seeking as of January 1, 2027 a teacher who can undertake teaching in

· Woodwork

· Mathematics in the early years

· Nature and Technology

· Homeroom teacher role in 1st grade

Other subject competencies that may become relevant over time

· Social studies

· Home economics

· Mathematics in the middle school years

· Physical education

Skørbæk-Ejdrup consists of a friskole, a nature kindergarten and a nature nursery. Based on the Grundtvig-Kold philosophy, we emphasize Creativity, Community, Nature and Freedom, and we continuously strive to implement these values in daily life. We focus on cohesion and smooth transitions between preschool/daycare and the friskole, and we do this through joint creative and practical-musical activities.

Our Grundtvig-Kold basis is expressed, among other things, by a daily shared morning song from kindergarten to 9th grade. Here we gather and start the day together. The binding community on the campus is the cultural backbone that connects us as people, and we believe that an important approach to the students' well-being and learning is through the good relationship.

We focus on combining strong academic standards with appreciative and clear classroom management, which also leaves room for a curious approach to learning. We know that students learn in many different ways, which helps keep our pedagogical and didactic development moving. During the year we break up the timetable with subject days with time for deepening, and we have creative workshop days across classes, such as drama week, Christmas market days, and a joint school camping trip.

The friskole is located in scenic surroundings with plenty of space, and there is great potential to develop outdoor life/outdoor teaching and to integrate practical-creative teaching methods much more. We have cool shelters, kitchen gardens, fruit trees, forests and grass, and for us there is not far from idea to action. We plant and build across the entire campus—often together with our parent community, with whom we have a good and dialogue-based collaboration.

Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the current collective agreement for teachers at the Free Grundskoler.
