Data Engineer with senior experience for Data Platform at AP Pension

Do you want to work with modern data technologies and help strengthen the data foundation at AP Pension? We are looking for a Data Engineer for our Data Platform department, where you will play a central role in the work with Microsoft Fabric.

About the job

You will become part of the Data Platform, where we develop a strong and modern data foundation for AP Pension. We have gained valuable experience and made technical choices that now need to be consolidated and, in some cases, rethinked. Therefore we are looking for a Data Engineer with depth and solid background, who can challenge the current solutions and help shape the future direction.

We are facing several major system changes, where the data platform plays a central role. Therefore we are looking for an experienced profile who can both develop strong data models and advise the business on how Microsoft Fabric, PySpark and notebooks are best used.

Your tasks will include

• Design and develop data models in Microsoft Fabric
• Translate the business needs into robust and scalable data solutions
• Further develop and consolidate the platform and establish common guidelines for good development practice
• Support the business's work with data across central and decentralized solutions.

Your profile

You are an experienced Data Engineer, curious, professionally strong and motivated by collaboration. You take responsibility and use your professional experience to lift the work of further developing and maturing the data platform.

We expect that you have solid experience with

• Databricks, Microsoft Fabric or PySpark.
• Data modeling according to Kimball's principles
• Modeling and handling of time, Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD) and historical versions in data.

It is a prerequisite for the role that you have solid expertise in data engineering, contribute with experience and sparring as well as a desire to develop yourself together with the team. Experience with pension data and object-oriented programming would be an extra plus. Danish is the corporate language at AP Pension.
