DAVA Foods – Chef for Producer Collaboration

Then you may be the new Head of Producer Collaboration we are seeking. You will become DAVA Foods’ central link to the company's egg producers and will play an important role in developing and maintaining strong, trust-based relationships.

You assume a commercially important role , where you, with direct reporting to the company's management, will be responsible for ensuring a stable, knowledge-based and future-proof producer collaboration. You will be DAVA Foods’ outward face to the producers and their primary entry point to the organization. Internally, particularly Packaging and Quality will be key partners, and you will obtain a central role as the link between the production unit and the producers. At the same time you will have a broad interface across procurement, sustainability and commercial functions.

Dine primære opgaver og ansvarsområder vil være

• Build and maintain close, trust-based relationships with DAVA Foods’ producers and serve as their primary entry point to the organization.
• Ensure a stable and long-term producer partnership with a focus on supply security and capacity planning.
• Collect, analyze and communicate data including quality, sorting and yield, and combine them with relevant know-how and insights so they are translated into sparring and development with the producers.
• Act as the liaison between the producers and, in particular, packaging and quality, and ensure close dialogue and knowledge sharing between the production unit and the producers.
• Collaborate with crop farmers in seeds, grains and pulses, including breeding contracts, harvest and delivery planning, and quality follow-up.
• Work with climate calculations and ESG data reporting at the producer level and contribute to relevant sustainability documentation.
• Enter into and follow up on producer and breeding contracts in collaboration with procurement and management.
• Monitor the Code of Conduct, animal welfare and quality requirements, including audits, action plans and documentation.
• Identify and develop new producers as well as support existing producers regarding transition and development.
• Act as a liaison between the producers and internal functions and contribute to the development and optimization of tools and processes for producer collaboration.

To succeed in the role you probably have a relevant agricultural education such as an agronomist, soil technology, cand. agro., or production manager. You may also have built your expertise through another practical or commercial background combined with solid experience from the agriculture or food sector. Experience with supplier or producer collaboration is essential, just as you have a good understanding of the processes and value chains related to production.

You are also strong with data and can collect, analyze and communicate data, but also manage to combine them with professional know-how, experience and insight, so they are translated into relevant sparring and create value for both the producers and DAVA Foods. Experience with Excel, Power BI or similar data tools, as well as climate and ESG reporting, will be an advantage.

You also master Danish and English at a professional level, both written and spoken. You have a driving license and are prepared for regular producer visits, primarily in Jutland, as a natural part of the role.

As a person you are relationship-building, outgoing and trust-inducing and you are motivated by daily contact with the producers. You are good at listening, creating alignment and building long-term relationships with people from different backgrounds and you have the ambition to become the producers’ preferred sparring partner. At the same time you are analytical, thorough and structured and able to work independently and take ownership of your areas of responsibility.

You have a good business understanding and navigate naturally across the value chain. You also enjoy collaborating across both DAVA Foods, the Danish Agro group and DAVA Foods’ international companies and are able to bring together relevant knowledge and competencies. Finally you are hands-on, ambitious and motivated to contribute broadly in the organization.
