Dedicated bridge-builder for the elderly care sector

We are looking for an engaged bridge-builder, who with a view to the individual can help bring more seniors into rewarding social communities.

The Elderly Sector in Næstved Municipality is seeking an employee who can supplement the two bridge-builders we are fortunate to already have employed..

In Næstved Municipality we want to prevent loneliness and strengthen seniors' participation in communities. Therefore, political leaders have allocated funds to develop our efforts and mindset for both home-dwelling citizens and citizens in nursing homes. We want to increase cooperation with civil society to involve more in communities as well as strengthen the bridging between the individual citizen and communities, in e.g. associations, clubs, activity centers and cultural houses.

As a bridge-builder you shall;

• contribute to building a bridge between citizens undergoing rehabilitation and communities via a “hand-held” approach with the individual citizen.
• contribute to building a bridge between established communities and the seniors in Næstved Municipality who have not yet found their way into association life.
• help to make visible the broad palette of opportunities in Næstved Municipality to participate in communities.
• build knowledge and relationships with the communities that are relevant for the target group.
• build relationships with relevant municipal actors
• support the development of the municipal activity centers so they in the future function as gathering houses for the local areas and involve more target groups.
• provide professional sparring about communities for seniors with colleagues and partners.
• systematically collect data.
• be in ongoing dialogue with civil society, activity centers, gathering houses, health initiatives and other relevant actors about coordination, cooperation and development.
• help develop the approach to the seniors of the future and their wishes for senior life.

Your qualifications

• You have experience with associations or voluntary communities.
• You are good at meeting people at eye level and have a view to supporting the individual’s motivation, strengths and resources.
• You are good at creating relationships and engagement.
• You include and motivate civil society to get more seniors into communities.
• You must be good at navigating different tasks, frameworks and collaboration relationships and be able to make things happen.
• You work with a high degree of independence and situational awareness.
• You must be able to work both individually and in a team.
• You are good at communication and dissemination.
• You have a good mood and contribute to a good atmosphere.
• You are flexible regarding working hours, as some evening work is expected and there may be weekend work.

The job requires that you have a driver's license.

The position is organizationally placed at District Southeast with an office at the Gathering House on Farimagsvej, but bridge-building functions cover the entire municipality, so a fair amount of driving must be expected.

Employment terms

The positions are 37 hours per week with employment starting 1 November 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Salary according to applicable collective agreement.
