Dedicated social and health helper or social and health assistant for evening/night shift at the asylum area

Would you like to become part of our team at Asylcenter Aaløkke? Then we have a vacant position in combined evening/night shifts at 37 hours per week or as agreed, with weekend work every 2nd weekend.

Since October 1, 2025, we have operated a department with space for 8 care-demanding asylum seekers with physical functional impairments.

The department has now existed for a little over a year, and we have found a good structure and rhythm in daily life. We continuously work to adapt our efforts to the residents' needs and create a daily life characterized by professionalism, care and collaboration.

Although our residents are mainly referred due to physical impairments, we also experience significant complexity with regard to psychological, social and cognitive challenges. Therefore relationship work is a central part of our daily life.

We place great emphasis on the ability to build trust, safety and good relations with the residents. It requires inclusivity, patience and understanding that people respond differently, and that the approach that works for one resident does not necessarily work for another. You must be able to meet the residents with respect and at the same time be able to create structure, set clear boundaries and maintain calm in challenging situations.

We believe that all employees have something special to contribute. We have different competencies, experiences and strengths, and precisely this diversity helps to create a strong team. With us it is important that we use each other’s resources, help each other and work in a common direction.

The department is staffed around the clock, and the duty rosters are planned as far as possible with regard to both employees' wishes and the department's needs.

• You are educated as a social and health helper or a social and health assistant and want to work in a multicultural environment.

Salary and employment terms

The position is 37 hours per week, or as agreed, and includes combined evening and night shifts and weekend work every 2nd weekend.

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and are set after negotiation with the negotiating organization. Placement in the pay scale depends on experience, competencies and relevant education.

It is a requirement that you have a driving license for a car, category B.
