Design Manager

To the department "client advisory and design management" we are seeking an engaged and experienced design manager who will contribute to expanding and strengthening design management at Artelia in general.

We believe that the design manager is the key to achieving structure and driving an objective design process based on the construction industry’s contractual framework and respect for all professional perspectives.

With us, the design manager's responsibility is strengthened by viewing the task as an independent management discipline, supported by your structure, professionalism and design experience.

From the department we champion the cross-disciplinary professional network for design managers at Artelia and run Artelia's internal training in design management. We have a strong focus on expanding and strengthening design management.

As a design manager with us you will

• Carry out design management on projects across Artelia's portfolio in the construction segment, both for new construction and renovations.
• Support our Group Competence Chief in expanding and strengthening design management .
• Support the strategic goals for the department and the discipline.
• Share knowledge across Artelia and with your nearest colleagues about the rules of the construction industry, design and procurement, mv.
• Work across our business and involve Artelia's wide range of specialists in the projects and in that way help to ensure the right project solutions and progress.

We expect that you

• have a relevant higher education with construction-related background such as engineer, architect, building constructor or similar.
• have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the industry and at least 5 years of experience in the role of design manager on a broad range of projects – alternatively a particular focus area such as housing, schools or other.
• work in a structured and goal-oriented manner.
• have good interpersonal understanding, lead by example and create the framework.
• are a good sparring partner who contributes to the team.
• have a positive attitude towards people and projects.
