Digitalization Consultant for Children and Youth

Will you help bring technology and digital solutions to create value for children, young people and staff?

In Children and Youth in Holstebro Municipality we are looking for a digitalization consultant who can both support our existing digital solutions and help develop the way we use technology.

You will have a broad role across especially the school and after‑school care services and become the link between practice, professionalism and technology. You will work with everything from digital solutions, teaching materials and networks to teaching, implementation and development projects.

We want technology to make sense in the core task. Therefore you should be able to get the existing solutions to function well in daily life and be curious about new possibilities – not least how artificial intelligence and other technologies can support learning, work processes and professional development.

As in the rest of society, AI is also rapidly developing in schools. Both students, teachers and leaders need dialogue and sparring about possibilities and points of attention. You will work closely with our decentralized AI coordinator, who has a more practice‑oriented role out at the schools. Together you will support a professionally meaningful and responsible use of AI, where you especially contribute with the cross‑cutting and strategic perspective, while the AI coordinator focuses on the concrete use in the schools’ everyday life.

Your tasks

The position ranges from the ongoing support of our digital solutions to the development and implementation of new initiatives. You will among other things work with

• project management and implementation of new digital solutions and platforms – including development, coordination and support of solutions in the school and after‑school care area
• digital teaching materials and technology in practice – including assessment, procurement, implementation and development of the pedagogical and didactic use
• development and new technologies – including how we use artificial intelligence in a professionally meaningful and responsible way
• competence development and knowledge sharing – teaching, courses, guidance as well as coordination of relevant professional networks
• daily operation and system support of among others Aula, SFOweb and TEA/STIL in collaboration with colleagues and the municipality's IT organization.
• data security and governance – including connection and data agreements as well as risk assessments.

You will not be alone with the tasks. You will become part of a secretariat with different professional backgrounds and will have close collaboration with leaders and staff at our schools and after‑school care services, the municipality's IT organization and external partners.

Tasks will change in line with the organization's needs and technological development. Therefore we are looking for a colleague who both enjoys taking responsibility for concrete solutions and wants to help shape the direction for what comes next.

Your profile

Your educational and professional background can vary. You may for example have an IT‑related, pedagogical or other relevant higher education. The important thing is that you can operate in the crossroads between technology, professionalism and organization.

• have a good understanding of digitalization and technology and interest in how it can create value in practice
• are likely to have knowledge of the school, daycare or educational sector
• can combine development and project work with responsibility for concrete digital solutions
• can translate technical and complex issues into something understandable and usable for others
• have analytical sense as well as good communication and collaboration skills
• have an eye for data security, GDPR and responsible use of technology
• work independently and systematically and at the same time thrive with many collaboration interfaces.

We do not expect you to be an expert in all areas from day one. Instead we expect you to be curious, eager to learn and able to help both ensure a well-functioning digital everyday life and develop our use of technology.

About us

You will be part of the Children and Youth Secretariat, where we support the organization across daycare, school and family areas. You will have a daily life with many different collaboration interfaces and close contact with the practice in which our digital solutions must function.

The position is 37 hours per week with the workplace at Holstebro Town Hall.

Salary and terms of employment are set according to the applicable collective agreement.
