About the job

Would you like to help investigate how AI can be used responsibly and value-creating in a humanitarian organization?

In the asylum department we want to learn more about how AI can support our task execution and make workflows simpler, while ensuring the technology is used responsibly with a focus on data security, professional judgment, climate and the human relationship.

For this we are seeking an intern who for a period of two months, about 20-30 hours per week, will help conduct a project on the use of AI and Microsoft Copilot in the Red Cross asylum department. If you are a student, consideration will be given to teaching and possible exams in planning the working hours.

The internship program gives you the opportunity to work concretely with AI and digitization in an organization where the technology must function within a humanitarian context and be used by many different employee groups.

About the project

The project will examine how AI and Microsoft Copilot can create value in the asylum department's work. We will map the current use, identify relevant use opportunities and support a responsible use. The goal is not only to streamline, but also to use AI where the technology can support the Red Cross's humanitarian purpose, with consideration for, among other things, the climate footprint.

Your tasks

You will work closely with staff in the asylum department and contribute to several parts of the project. Your tasks will include:

  • map the employees' current use of AI and Copilot
  • collect experiences and needs through e.g. questionnaires and interviews
  • identify and test concrete use possibilities
  • translate experiences into concrete recommendations, guidelines and inspiration
  • contribute to workshops and other activities on the use of Copilot
  • collect the project's experiences and recommendations.

Submit your application today. We are really looking forward to reading it.

What you get with us

A practically oriented project where you will have the opportunity to work with AI, digitization and organizational development in a humanitarian context and where you will help translate new technological possibilities into concrete solutions.

Experience with Microsoft Copilot, generative AI, qualitative methods, questionnaires or facilitation is an advantage, but not a requirement.

You do not need to be an AI expert. The most important thing is that you are curious, analytical and structured, can work independently and are eager to explore how technology can create value in practice.

Who are you?

We imagine that you are a student in a relevant higher education program and interested in AI, digitization and organizational development.
