Do you want to lead the development of Holbæk Sportsby and create new opportunities through strong collaborations?

Holbæk Sportsby is seeking a strategic and development-oriented director who can set the direction for Sportsby’s future and strengthen its position as an attractive gathering point for sport, communities and experiences.

As director you will have the overall responsibility for Sportsby’s finances, operations and development. Your main task will be to continue developing Sportsbyen and create the framework for the organisation to succeed. You do this in close collaboration with employees, the board, associations, Holbæk Municipality, the business community and other partners.

Holbæk Sportsby contains significant development potential. As director you must translate ambitions into results and ensure that Sportsbyen continues to develop, maintain a healthy economy and strengthen Sportsby’s position through strong relationships and new initiatives.

• Translate strategy into action and ensure progress on the board’s goals
• Be a qualified sparring partner for the board with support from the board’s function.

Who are you?

You have solid leadership experience and documented results with developing organisations, larger facilities or complex collaborations. You combine strategic understanding with drive and the ability to create results through others.

You have experience with financial responsibility and understand how to balance development ambitions with financial sustainability. At the same time you are able to garner support around shared goals and navigate safely among different stakeholders.

Your experience may have been gained in private, public or member-based organisations. The decisive factor is your leadership skills, documented results and ability to create development.

You can navigate and thrive in the interplay between a professional organisation, volunteer associations, the board, the municipality and the business sector.

You will play a central role in further developing Sportsbyen as an attractive gathering point for sport, communities and experiences – with the opportunity to create new activities, partnerships and business opportunities.

You will become part of an organisation with engaged staff, a strong local association scene and close cooperation with Holbæk Municipality and other partners.

You will have autonomous management responsibility and close collaboration with the board on Sportsby’s strategic direction and development. You report to the board of the Holbæk Sportsby Foundation. You will work with an exciting and competent board that understands how to respect the director’s role in daily life.

We offer a salary according to qualifications and good terms of employment, including a pension scheme.

Start date is 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

We expect to conduct the first interview round in week 47 and the second interview round in week 48. Candidates progressing after the first interview will be invited to complete relevant tests as part of the overall assessment.
