Disability assistant sought for a man in Roskilde - 24-hour shifts

I am a 39-year-old man living in my own apartment in Roskilde. I have good access to both bus and train.

I am looking for a helper (m/f) for my fixed team. The position is set at 24 hours per week, but there is often an opportunity for extra shifts.

I have a well-functioning team of helpers, of which you will become part. You will, together with the rest of the team, have influence on the rota we draw up once a quarter.

I sit in an electric wheelchair after a spinal cord injury and need help with most things. Cooking, cleaning, personal care and companionship outside the home. In my apartment I use a lift for transfers.

The shifts are 24 hours and run from 22:00 to 22:00. Of these, 6 hours are standby hours at night that can be converted to active hours when you are up.

I see myself as a life-affirming person, with zest for life. I love listening to music, both at home and out.

I have always loved to travel and have also traveled after my spinal cord injury.

In my spare time I have taken wheelchair dancing, choir and have been politically active. Unfortunately I am not so much into that at the moment, due to several longer periods of illness that have resulted in my muscle strength being weakened, so I have lost some of the functions I had earlier. It can be difficult for me to find motivation for my morning exercise. It is therefore important to me that my helpers support me by reminding me and taking the initiative for this, as I would like to resume my previous interests.

I am looking for an employee who is flexible with regard to working hours, and who does not smoke at work.

You must be able to work independently, both with routine tasks and other tasks I give. I value helpers who are social at work - both at home and out. You must of course also have a sense of the situation. I expect you to be punctual and dutiful. Punctual in terms of meeting times and especially dutiful regarding daily chores. There will be the necessary training if needed :)

A driving license is required, and you may have experience driving a van.

I have a BPA scheme, where I am the employer. You will be employed under the FOA collective agreement and DUOS handles employment and salary payments.
