District School Leader for Hillerødsholmskolen

Hillerød Municipality seeks a present and strategically strong district school head who can continue Hillerødsholm skolens positive development and bring together students, staff, parents and partners around the school's common goals.

Hillerødsholmskolen is a medium-sized public school that covers a diverse school district and experiences increasing pupil numbers. The school is distributed over two school buildings with students from 0-9 grade as well as after-school care up to and including grade 7. Here you will meet engaged staff, good academic results and constructive collaboration between school leadership and the school board.

You will have the opportunity to lead a school with solid finances and a strong development impulse. You will have substantial managerial freedom and at the same time be part of an ambitious municipal school system, where professional sparring, joint solutions and cross-disciplinary collaboration are prioritized highly.

As district school head you will have overall responsibility for the school's pedagogical development, staff, leadership, finances and operations. A central task will be to carry the school's three-year development plan further towards a participation-oriented school, where staff collaborate closely in year groups, and where even more students become part of the general education.

The school has in connection with the ongoing changes over the last year gained many new employees, and there is a need to strengthen well-being, collaboration and a shared direction among the leadership as well as new and more experienced staff. It will therefore be an important leadership task to ensure a trusting collaboration through present leadership, clear communication, involvement and follow-up.

You will be the leader of a dedicated team consisting of four leaders who work with psychological safety and shared responsibility as a foundation. At the same time you will participate in active collaboration with the leaders across Hillerød Municipality's schools. The municipality has a clear focus on professional leadership and inclusive learning environments and collaborates, among other things, with Nordic Learning on the development of the participation-oriented school.
