About the job – close to the citizen

We are looking for a permanent social and health helper in day/evening shifts and a permanent social and health assistant in the evening shift, as well as a social and health assistant in a parental leave cover in day shifts from 01.12.2026 or 01.01.2027.

The positions are offered as 37 hours per week with weekend shifts every 2nd weekend. We are flexible and will, as far as possible, accommodate your wishes regarding the number of hours.

You will be attached to our dementia ward/assisted living homes.

In close collaboration with the residents, we make decisions based on their dreams and life situation. We have close collaboration across professional boundaries and help each other to create a safe and calm daily life for the residents and their families.

Our work takes its starting point from the citizen's current situation, with a focus on rehabilitation and support for independence.

You take responsibility, structure and can coordinate your tasks. This in collaboration with your colleagues. We succeed with the dignified elderly life when collaboration and professionalism are in focus. You are part of the holistic care and the nursing-technical tasks.

You value the good relationship with the residents and their families.

IT and our daily documentation systems are indispensable when tasks must be solved and an overview maintained. It is an advantage to have knowledge of the Nexus system.

We are focused on well-being and place great emphasis on supporting each other and “making each other look good.” We work professionally and have an appreciative and curious approach to each other.

We practice thinking and acting as one shared house – collaboration across teams and departments is becoming a natural part of our everyday life.

You should have an interest in dementia and an interest in seeing the person behind a dementia condition.

Caroline Amalie Nursing Center is located in beautiful surroundings, surrounded by forest and lakes.

Caroline Amalie consists of 4 elderly housing units, 22 dementia housing units and 6 care housing units as well as a day center.

We are sports-certified and prioritize an active life based on each resident's resources highly.

At Caroline Amalie you will receive a good introduction, where you will meet with our mentor in the section and you will get an introductory program and be followed until you are confident and ready to function independently.

Salary and employment

Salary and terms of employment are according to the applicable collective agreement with FOA.

In Svendborg Municipality, the salary for this type of position typically ranges between 33,962 and 46,820 DKK per month for full-time employment. The salary includes pension, special holiday allowance and fixed allowances. There may also be shift allowances and other special payments. It is important to note that your specific salary will be determined based on experience, seniority and competencies and negotiated with the relevant professional organization.

The HR department will obtain a criminal record check for the applicant who is hired. It is a condition for employment that the certificates are satisfactory regarding the position.
