In the Rødekro district we are seeking a social- and health assistant who thrives on responsibility, professional challenges and the opportunity to make their mark.

As a social- and health assistant with us you will become a central part of a close multidisciplinary collaboration with nurses, social- and health care assistants, therapists and dispatch. Together we shall test and develop a working method with greater freedom and responsibility, focus on cohesive citizen pathways and a strong shared ownership of the task.

About the job

As a field-based assistant you will play a central role in the citizens' daily lives. You

• work holistically and rehabilitatively with a focus on quality, safety and the citizen's quality of life
• take on clinical tasks including basic nursing, medication management, injections, wound care, catheter care, palliation and compression
• create structure and overview by prioritizing tasks and responding flexibly to changes in citizens' needs
• actively involve the citizen in planning and carrying out care with respect for self-determination, goals and resources
• actively participate in triage, cross-disciplinary meetings and the ongoing development of citizen pathways
• contribute to professional development and learning in the team through knowledge sharing and reflection

Who are we?

In Home Care and Nursing, our 550 valued employees are distributed across 12 districts and 25 teams. You will work together with social- and health care assistants, social- and health care assistants, cleaning staff, nurses, assessors, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, team coordinators, cross-disciplinary team coordinators and your district manager.

With us you will encounter a everyday life where presence and collaboration go hand in hand. We work with holistic care and a rehabilitative approach – for the benefit of citizens in Aabenraa Municipality.

• are educated as a social- and health care assistant and passionate about helping citizens to a good everyday life
• can work independently, but also enjoy sparring and collaboration with colleagues
• are curious, brave and not afraid to ask, challenge and think new

• have a flexible and welcoming approach to both colleagues and citizens
• are caring and meet citizens and your colleagues with respect
• have a natural focus on rehabilitation and support citizens in what they themselves can do

Salary and terms of employment

• Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement
• We envisage an appointment of 37 hours. At the applicant's initiative there can be a concrete dialogue about the employment level
• Fixed day shift and weekend shift every 3rd weekend
• Place of work: Nygade 23c, 6200 Aabenraa
• Start date: 1 December 2026 or by agreement

It is a condition for the position that you have a driving license
