About the job

We are in the midst of a really exciting development. In recent years we have brought home a number of family treatment tasks and built a strong, interdisciplinary family treatment team with high professionalism and diverse competencies.

Now we face another expansion of Family Treatment. Therefore we are looking for skilled and engaged family therapists who want to become part of our already strong team and help to develop our professional practice further.

With us you will become part of an environment where we work closely together to create positive and lasting changes for children, young people and families. We have a very good and close collaboration with authorities, which is an important part of our joint work around the families.

About Family Treatment

Family treatment is part of the Center for Family and Youth. We are based at Møllevejen, where we share office facilities with PPR.

We work from LOFT as a common language and methodological reference framework between authorities and implementers. In addition, we work among other things narratively and with mentalization-based approaches with a focus on the children, the young people and the families' resources, relationships and possibilities for change.

You will work both independently and in partnership with one or more colleagues when the task calls for it.

Our preventive work includes, among other things, shorter advisory processes and practically oriented support at home, where we help families with structure, routines, cooperation with school and day care as well as concrete coping strategies.

Our interventions under § 32 span broadly and are tailored to the individual family’s needs. We work with both talk-based processes, mentalization-based family and parenting work as well as practically oriented pedagogical support in the family’s everyday life. In more complex cases we work intensively to create changes in the family’s interaction, relationships and structure, with a focus on strengthening the child’s well-being and development.

A common thread in our work is that we closely collaborate with families to create positive and sustainable changes in relationships, interaction and everyday life.

We are looking for you who

  • Have a relevant professional basic education and preferably relevant continuing education
  • Have experience with complex issues among children, young people and families
  • Have experience with for example self-harm, trauma and play therapy
  • Have knowledge of and experience with diagnoses such as autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, OCD, anxiety and depression
  • Have understanding of complex family dynamics and psychosocial issues
  • Work in an appreciative and resource-oriented way with a focus on both the relationship and the direction of the treatment
  • Are comfortable working independently and at the same time thrive in close professional collaboration
  • Desire to work flexibly, also in the mornings and evenings and occasionally on weekends when families’ needs call for it
  • Have a driving license and access to a car
  • Can communicate well in English

We do not necessarily expect you to be able to tick off every box. The most important thing is that you have a strong professional foundation, a view of the family as a whole and a willingness to bring your competencies into play in a cross-disciplinary team.

We offer

  • A strong professional environment with colleagues who have different professional profiles
  • An interdisciplinary house with close sparring and collaboration
  • Internal sparring and external supervision on a regular cycle
  • An employer in development where you get the opportunity to make your mark
  • Focus on professional development and relevant upskilling
  • An attractive working time model, where 38 hours and 40 minutes per week give 2 extra weeks of holiday per year
  • A family-friendly and flexible workplace with trust-based leadership
  • A high degree of freedom and responsibility in planning the work
  • A solid onboarding program so you settle well into both the team, our professional approach and your tasks

Colleagues say

“We are a diverse group with a big heart for our work. We laugh together, take care of each other and work wholeheartedly to support families in their development.”

“We work independently, but we know we always have each other. That makes a big difference in everyday life. I greatly value a workday characterized by a high degree of freedom with responsibility, where there are also good opportunities to influence your own work structure. No week is the same, and that makes the job both exciting and developmental with variation in tasks, approach and pace.”

“The irregular working hours are offset by great flexibility in planning your calendar at other times.”

Your future supervisor says

“We work with great trust that the individual employee solves their tasks in the best possible way and with freedom under responsibility. You will become part of a fantastic team with high professionalism, and you will have leadership where my focus is to create the framework for you to succeed and bring your professionalism into play in the best possible way.”
