Do you want to pursue an education as an IT Support Trainee within Health IT and make a difference for patients at Sygehus Lillebælt?

The IT Department is seeking an engaged and curious IT Support Trainee who wants to be where things happen. The department's core task is to support the clinic with secure IT operations and support, so the clinic can put the patient first.

Welcome to the IT Department

You have just completed the introductory course at a vocational school before starting as an IT support trainee with us. We are about 50 employees in the IT Department, distributed across two groups – Clinical IT and IT operations and support. You will be employed in IT operations and support, but will also have tasks across the department.

We are responsible for providing support to the approximately 7,500 employees at Sygehus Lillebælt, so their computers, equipment and network always work. The IT Department supports the entire Sygehus Lillebælt, which means we have offices at Vejle Hospital and Kolding Hospital, and we also travel to Middelfart Nærhospital and psychiatry in these areas.

This is what your everyday life will be like

As an IT Support Trainee you will have a day with many different tasks. You will, among other things, work with installation and setup of both hardware and software, including installation of up to about 1,200 different programs.

Troubleshooting and documentation of the challenges that arise will also be an important part of your work. At the same time you will become part of the staffing in our Service Desk, and help handle the on-call phone. It gives you an opportunity to work closely with users and ensures a steep learning curve, where you quickly build solid experience in IT support.

Our trainees are integrated on par with full-time staff in daily operations, and depending on how far in the training you are, you will take on more and more responsibility, as well as experience the trust we have that you can handle most tasks on your own, but never alone.

To obtain a apprenticeship and training agreement at Sygehus Lillebælt, you must have passed the introductory course at a vocational school. After that you are ready for the main course, which alternates between internship and school stays. In the internship you will be trained in the tasks that belong to the education, and you will be assigned an educational supervisor who follows you throughout your entire education.

You have good energy and a personality that leaves a positive mark on the work and your colleagues. You can express yourself both verbally and in writing in Danish. You are patient and friendly, and understand how to maintain an overview even when things are moving quickly. You readily take on new tasks and are motivated to learn new things.

Salary in accordance with Dansk Metals’ collective agreement for IT-Supporterelever in the Regions.
