About the job

Would you like to be part of pioneering a new care home offering with a social profile?

We are seeking SSA, SSH, PÆD or PAU.

Sømarken Nursing Home in Nykøbing Falster expands in the new year with a new unit aimed at citizens who have both substantial health and social-care support needs. It is an exciting and forward-looking new holistic offering for a vulnerable and complex target group, and we are looking for you who:

  • Are passionate about working, collaborating and developing yourself in the intersection of disciplines where the workplace culture is a cornerstone.
  • Willing to lead the development of professional frameworks, methods and collaboration interfaces around a new offering.
  • Have a focus on holistic care, high professionalism and wellbeing in a vulnerable and complex target group.
  • In your approach you always take as your starting point Guldborgsund Municipality's core task , namely to ” strengthen citizens' ability to master their own lives and in cooperation with citizens ensure that everyone can participate in relevant communities ”

The first offering opens in January 2027 and will consist of 6 places.

A care home with a social profile should be understood as a special nursing home model for citizens, where the complexity is not only linked to the need for care and health professional interventions, but to the combination of complex, composite and somatic needs.

The target group may include, among other things

Citizens with congenital or acquired disabilities, including brain injury, developmental retardation or developmental disorders.

Citizens with mental disorders or mental vulnerability.

Citizens with significantly reduced physical, mental or cognitive functioning, who have a need for both extensive health-care interventions and ongoing social-work support.

The offering is based on an integrated interdisciplinary approach, where health professionalism, social work professionalism and holistic care are brought together in a common task solution. Therefore we seek employees who can both handle health-care tasks and contribute to citizens' wellbeing through relationship work, structure and social-work methods.

The nursing home sector in Guldborgsund Municipality is on the threshold of a comprehensive development. A master plan has been adopted, a political vision and a values program for the “care homes of the future,” which will be rolled out in the coming years. The overarching plan is to build to expand the number of places and to renovate the existing building stock so that in the future it provides an even better framework for the good old age for our residents and the good working life for our employees.

We offer

  • A meaningful job with a vulnerable and complex target group.
  • An employer with high professionalism and a focus on employee wellbeing.
  • A cross-disciplinary team with both health and pedagogical colleagues.
  • Opportunities for professional development and sparring.
  • Opportunities to help shape a new offering from the start.

We have a culture at Sømarken that bears elements of values and norms that strengthen employees in their relationships and interactions at the workplace. A culture that for us creates a shared narrative and a sense that we, through relationships, create a continuous process that leads to change.

Your tasks will include

  • To support the citizens in daily life with structure, care and predictability.
  • To support citizens in participating in social activities both inside and outside the unit.
  • To handle health-care and pedagogical tasks.
  • To document and participate in professional meetings.
  • To collaborate closely with colleagues in a cross-disciplinary team.
  • To be adaptable and work across the departments at Sømarken.

Employment from 1 December 2026 or by agreement. The start-up period will be at Sømarken's other departments until the residents move into the new unit.

The positions include

  • 37 hours per week
  • Mixed shifts in day and evening hours
  • Shifts every other weekend

Then YOU will be part of the journey, so do not hesitate to apply.

The position is anchored at Sømarken's address at Kaj Munksvej 51 in Nykøbing Falster under Guldborgsund Municipality's Center for Health & Care.

Employment will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement for the relevant professional group.
