Operations Dispatcher for Transport Operations in Southern Jutland

So HB-Care is seeking an operations dispatcher who will help ensure safe and efficient designated special transport for citizens in Southern Jutland.

A day with planning, service and high tempo

HB-Care is one of Denmark's leading providers of designated special transport for municipalities and institutions, and every day we have about 500 minibuses on the roads. Of these, roughly 70 are in Southern Jutland.

We provide transport for citizens with disabilities to schools and activity centers, for the elderly to rehabilitation and day centers, as well as children with special transport needs.

As an operations dispatcher you will be an important part of the daily transport operations. Although we work with planning, the day rarely goes exactly as planned. Therefore you must thrive in a dynamic daily life where a lot can happen in a short time, and where good solutions often have to be found quickly.

Selvom vi arbejder med planlægning, går dagen sjældent helt som planlagt. Derfor skal du trives i en dynamisk hverdag, hvor der kan ske meget på kort tid, og hvor gode løsninger ofte skal findes hurtigt.

With reference to our team leader, your tasks will include

• plan, coordinate and continuously optimize the daily driving
• create and enter rides in our systems
• handle changes and operational disturbances during the day
• communicate with citizens, customers, drivers and colleagues by phone and email
• assist our drivers when acute challenges arise on the route
• ensure stable and efficient operations

You will of course receive thorough training in both systems, workflows and tasks.

You have an overview – even when the plan changes

As an operations dispatcher you will need structure, a strong service mindset and the ability to stay calm when tempo rises.

You are good at building relationships and communicating clearly with many different people. At the same time you can prioritise and make decisions when several things demand your attention at once.

Your educational and professional background can be many things. Experience with e.g. dispatching, transport, logistics or shipping is an advantage but not a requirement.

A team where we help each other

Your workplace will be at our office at Industriparken 2, 6360 Tinglev , where you will be part of a team of five operations dispatchers.

You also work closely with our 11 operations dispatchers at the office in East Jutland.

Working hours

The position is for 37 hours per week .

Your working hours are generally between 06:00 and 16:30 , depending on whether you have an open or closed shift. On particularly busy days or in case of absence there may be a need for you to start a little earlier or stay a little later.

You will also be part of the office's on-call rota and generally have an on-call shift every 4 weeks . In that week the on-call duty lasts until about 18:30 on weekdays.
