Operations Manager for the Materials Yard

Our current operations manager of 12 years is leaving in the spring, and we are therefore already looking for a successor. We are therefore seeking a professionally strong and skilled people manager for the Grey Care (Grå Pleje), who can ensure efficient operations, high professional quality and a good working environment. As operations manager you will have personnel responsibility, professional leadership responsibility and operational responsibility for the employees in Grey Care.

Your main tasks

You will be responsible for

• leading and distributing the daily work
• planning staffing, tasks, machines and resources
• ensuring that the municipality's service level is translated into daily operations
• following up on quality, frequencies and execution
• prioritizing tasks based on risk, road safety and consequences
• handling acute and critical operational conditions
• ensuring professional instruction and development of the employees
• creating the framework for a good working environment and well-being, both for your own staff and for the entire Material Yard (Materialegården)
• coordinating with other professional areas and external contractors
• ensuring efficient use of financial and material resources.

Grey Care includes among others roads, asphalt, sidewalks, cycle paths, road markings, road signs, drainage, sweeping, cleaning, urban furniture, civil works and handling of graffiti, vandalism and acute road safety issues. We are looking for you who

• have a relevant professional background within road, infrastructure, construction, engineering or similar
• have experience with operations and maintenance
• are a capable, empathetic and clear people manager
• can plan and prioritize a complex operation as a professional leader
• are decisive and can act when the situation requires it
• work structurally and follow up on agreements
• communicate clearly and create clear frameworks for the employees
• can balance quality, service level, economy and resources
• can navigate a workforce that desires involvement

It is important that you have professional credibility, managerial assertiveness and empathy, and can translate requirements and service levels into concrete action.

We offer

A central leadership position in the municipality with responsibility for an important part of the municipality's daily operations.

The position is anchored at Materialegården, where you will become part of a unified leadership team of three, consisting of the operations manager for the green area and a unit manager for Materialegården.

You will have the opportunity to influence the organization of Grey Care, develop the operation and achieve results together with the employees.

Salary and employment terms The position is 37 hours per week. Salary placement occurs after negotiation between the municipality and the negotiating organization.
