Head of the Service Department, Nykøbing F.

At Zealand University Hospital in Nykøbing Falster we are, in a fixed-term position until July 2028, looking for a Head of Service who can lead an important part of the hospital's operations department and actively contribute to the continued development of the operations and service functions.

Your everyday life as Head of Service

You will become head of the Service Section in Nykøbing F., where you, together with your management team, must ensure that the service tasks are solved efficiently, professionally and with high quality every single day.

In addition, you will create direction and well-being for the department's 3 managers and approximately 150 employees, who every day of the year handle, among other things, cleaning, patient transport, logistics and much more.

Your key tasks

You will, among other things, have responsibility for

• Ensuring stable, efficient and value-adding operation of the service area.
• Development and implementation of self-managing service groups.
• Optimization of resources, workflows and staffing.
• Leadership, well-being, work environment and sick-leave initiatives.
• Further development of SPOS in the service section.
• Implementation of flow and logistics concepts that support good patient pathways.
• Contribution to development, quality and cross-departmental collaboration in the operations department

Who are you?

We are looking for a chief who creates followership in the organization and can set the direction for the department in a fast-paced daily life with many stakeholders and complex operating tasks. You are able to translate the department's strategy into concrete actions in everyday life and you gladly step up to the plate while understanding the importance of dialogue with each employee.

• Have managerial experience from a larger operations organization with development, adaptation and operations management – preferably from the hospital world.
• Experience with project work and management of large and small transformation projects
• Have strong collaboration and communication skills.
• See opportunities in developing and optimizing workflows.
• Find it easy to build relationships and followership.

Starting salary for unionized employees

The region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of base pay, centrally fixed allowances and pension in the relevant collective agreement. In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
