Educator for Nordvænget's nursery – bring your professional skills into play, every day!

As we have the opportunity to hire an additional educator, we are seeking a professionally strong educator for Nordvænget Nursery in Furesø Municipality. We offer 30-34 hours per week with start around January 1. We want a colleague who, like us, is focused on creating learning through care and a good atmosphere in routines, activities, children's culture, transitions, waiting times and breaks.

Welcome to Nordvænget

We are located on Ryttergårdsvej in Farum and have 45 children aged 1 to 3 years spread over 4 rooms. We almost only employ pedagogues in our house, and you must therefore be willing to share the responsibility of the work with your colleagues. Our foundation is appreciative pedagogy, and we highly value our working community.

At Nordvænget's nursery we focus on creating a safe base where both children, parents and staff feel welcome. Every day we work to strengthen the children's physical, mental and social development. We consider both the individual child and the group as a whole.

We work with a fixed daily organization and divide the children into smaller groups throughout the day. This creates an overview-friendly environment with opportunities for presence and to see the individual child. Our room meetings and pedagogy meetings are used to plan and especially reflect on our pedagogical practice.

Engagement and development

We need another professionally skilled educator who is keen to give input and challenge in the pedagogical work. You will join a collaborative team around a child group and help create the framework for the pedagogical content. We have close cooperation across the house and are currently particularly focused on care in the pedagogical work. We work with “TOPI,” which means that we conduct well-being assessments for the individual child about twice a year.

Another focus area is language development, where we use the Language Stair (Sprogtrappen) as a tool. Work around a child always takes place in close dialogue with the parents.

We are a professionally ambitious staff group and highly value our good collaboration with other professionals (health nurse, psychologist, speech therapist and physiotherapist) who contribute with sparring and interventions around the children (preventive and intervention). We have participated in several research projects, which helps to focus on and develop our professional competencies.

All pedagogues in the early childhood sector in Furesø Municipality have preparation time, which helps support the pedagogues' strong professional skills.
