One of our valued employees is leaving their position with us to pursue something else. We are therefore seeking a new colleague to step into the role of team educator. In addition, we have an opening for an educator in a floating position without team-educator responsibilities.

This is not just another ordinary educator position: Julemærkehjemmet Kildemose is part of Julemærkefonden and one of five Julemærkehjem in Denmark. Kildemose has each year about 120 children in residence for 10 weeks at a time. The core task in the pedagogical effort is to create a large change in a short time and to be able to motivate the children to dare to participate and develop themselves in communities. Communities are therefore the turning point for our everyday pedagogical practice.

We are a small staff group around the children in daily life and there are 24 children in residence at a time. Characteristic of our everyday life and pedagogical practice is that we are professionally grounded and development-oriented with regard to strengthening our shared foundation, where neuroaffective developmental psychology is the framework and sets the starting point for a common professional language.

In our daily life, where we are the adults and role models, it is important to be able to act with presence, clarity and direction for the children, within an overall daily structure. We believe that the children gain the opportunity to develop towards being able to participate in communities when they meet attuned adults and a clear framework to navigate within.

The tasks as team educator are multi-faceted. You will become a contact person for three children and their families, with rotation every 10 weeks. In addition to the core task as a contact person and the direct work with children and families, there is also responsibility for tasks such as documentation in the form of statements as well as daily writing.

In the role as floating educator, the emphasis is on companionship with the children in daily life, where your primary tasks will be to take responsibility for initiating and/or supporting games and activities for and with the children together with your colleagues, as well as daily written documentation.

Therefore we seek two colleagues who together with us can, in a responsible manner, be caravan leaders and set realistic goals for the children and be able to navigate in a daily life that can be diverse and changeable. It is important that you have your inner compass in order and act accordingly, based on our value base and view of children and within the existing structure and framework, so that we together in an engaged way support the children to believe in and work with their goals for their stay.

Expectations for you

• Relevant social care education (at bachelor level)
• You must be motivated to work with children in the large community and to initiate and facilitate activities for the children on a daily basis, whether sedentary or physically active – you must be a generalist.
• You are movement-oriented by default and preferably with interest and abilities in music, creativity or outdoor life.
• You are aware of your professional responsibility in relation to the children, the families and your colleagues.
• That you can act as an ambassador and contribute, among other things, to gathering Julemærke friends.
