About the job

An Educator - a strong opportunity to make a difference

Do you want to help make a difference for children – every day? Are you eager to become part of a strong community where professionalism, well-being and development go hand in hand? Then read on!

We are seeking an engaged educator for Gug School and DUS, who will help create good conditions for children's well-being, development and sense of community in both school and after-school care.

About the position

We believe that children thrive best when they are met with respect, clarity and presence. Therefore we work closely together – across year groups and subject areas – to create the best framework for children's learning and social development.

You will become an important part of both the school and the DUS, where you will work in close collaboration with teachers and educators. You will have the opportunity to shape both the school day and the after-school offering with your ideas, your energy and your skills.

With us you are not locked into one function – we are a large school with many opportunities, and there may be opportunities to become part of other year groups and tasks from one school year to the next, depending on competencies, interests and the school's needs. In this school year you will be attached to Year 2 as a class educator.

Our DUS is divided into 3 departments

  • Kindergarten House
  • Growth House (1st–2nd year)
  • Common House (3rd–6th year)

Working hours fall between 6:30 am and 5:00 pm with some evening events.

We are looking for someone who…

  • is educated as an educator and wants to work with children of school age
  • has strong relationship skills and works inclusively and approaches others with recognition
  • thrives in a collaborative environment and actively contributes to shared solutions
  • is proactive and passionate about creating inclusive communities
  • is open to helping develop both school and after-school offerings
  • sees opportunities and contributes ideas

We offer…

  • a workplace with high professionalism, warm colleagues and leadership that supports development
  • the opportunity to make your mark on everyday life and help shape future pedagogical practice
  • a close collaboration between school and DUS, where we work holistically with children's lives
  • a everyday life with room for both play, learning, creativity and care
  • an arbeids environment with respect, safety, humor and strong collegial community

Does this sound like something for you?

We look forward to hearing from you – and to welcoming you into a community where we work together to make a difference for the children.

Positions are permanent with 34 hours per week, with start on January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.
