Educator for maternity-leave replacement at Platanvej Nursery

Would you like to help create a good everyday life for the youngest children – and at the same time be part of a professional community where we are curious about our own practice?

Then maybe you are the one we are looking for.

Vuggestuen Platanvej is part of Midtbyen’s Child House and has 39 infants. We are looking for a trained pedagog to work 34-37 hours per week on a maternity cover (event-based) with start as soon as possible.

When you work with infants, the small moments are big. A glance, a hand to hold, an adult helping to find calm – or a pedagog who dares to follow the children’s initiative and join in the play.

Our core task is

To create space for children's well-being and development.

That means we are focused on how our pedagogical practice creates good opportunities for all children to be part of the community, develop, and feel meaningful.

We work with the strengthened pedagogical curriculum and with translating our professional knowledge into something the children can sense in everyday life. We place emphasis on presence, good relationships, play, development, and close cooperation with the parents.

We are looking for you, who...

• want to work with infants and their development
• can create safe and developing relationships with the children
• can be present and at the same time keep an overview in a busy day
• see yourself as an active part of a pedagogical team
• contribute to a positive and constructive collaboration with colleagues, management, and parents
• are professionally curious and want to develop your own and our shared practice
• can translate pedagogical theory and knowledge into everyday actions
• work in a structured way and can help create a good framework around the children’s day
• want to use both indoor and outdoor spaces actively
• can be flexible and see opportunities when daily life does not always go as planned.

You do not need to be able to do everything in advance. The most important thing is that you want to be part of the community, take responsibility for the pedagogical task, and be curious about how we can together create even better conditions for the children.
