About the job

Educator sought for Midtbyen's Children's House

Would you like to make a difference – and at the same time be part of a strong professional community?

At Midtbyen's Children's House you get more than just a job. You become part of a house with high professional standards, room for diversity, good colleagues and a desire to develop.

We are an integrated day care center with 140 children and 40 committed staff. We have a everyday life with lots of activity, play, presence and exciting possibilities – both inside and outside the house.

We are currently seeking an educator for our kindergarten department. The kindergarten is divided into 4 base rooms and a group of older children.

We are looking for you who

  • Are educated as an educator.
  • Can, dare and want to be a caravan leader and are aware of what you can contribute to the children – both individually and in communities.
  • Are passionate about children's well-being, development and learning and focused on creating strong child communities.
  • Can create safe, inspiring and developing learning environments where all children feel they belong and are meaningful participants.
  • Are focused on relationships and meeting children with curiosity, recognition and positive expectations.
  • Are academically well-founded and work reflectively and structurally to plan, implement and evaluate pedagogical processes.
  • Have a desire for professional reflection, sparring and both developing your own and collective professionalism.
  • Are committed to developing the pedagogical practice and actively contribute to professional development at the workplace.
  • Contribute actively to a good collegial community with engagement, humor and willingness to collaborate.
  • Are focused on watering the child's garden – seeing each child's potential, meeting the child where it is, and creating the right conditions for it to grow, thrive and develop. You know that children are different, and that it is our responsibility as adults to create the frameworks and relationships that give each child the opportunity to flourish.

We offer

  • An workplace with engaged and professionally competent colleagues who work purposefully with children's well-being, development and learning.
  • A professional environment where reflection, sparring and joint development of the pedagogical practice are a natural part of everyday life.
  • A daily life with opportunity to bring your own competences, initiatives and ideas into play.
  • Visible and present leadership with focus on dialogue, trust, clear communication and professional direction.
  • A strong collegial community where we take shared responsibility, use each other's competencies and have room for both humor and diversity.
  • Opportunity for professional sparring, competence development and participation in the development of our pedagogical learning environments.
  • A wonderful group of children and an engaged group of parents

We are in the process of training our staff to be play captains – if you have experience and knowledge of NPRP it would be an advantage. In addition, we work, among other things, with "We Learn Together", which strengthens children's language, mathematics and social skills. We are looking for a colleague who is highly motivated and engaged to work with this method in small groups of children so that we can together ensure the children's well-being and development.

Salary: according to applicable collective agreement

The position is 37 hours with start 1/1-27.

Application deadline 19/11-26 at 12:00. Interviews will be held in week 48.

We look forward to meeting our new colleague!
