When our experienced pedagogue leaves, because she has completed her education as a speech therapist, we are looking for our new colleagues. At Den Grønne Giraf we have always focused on the good life of children and the children’s community. We work in the staff group to develop ourselves in the best possible way to support the children in their development, learning and formation.

We are a stable and skilled employee group, where each room has two pedagogues or a pedagogical assistant. So we’re missing you. We have good collaboration across the building, a strong feedback- and reflection culture and a fixed organization of everyday life, so everyone knows their role.

But now we are missing a pedagogue and that is where you come in. We are looking for a pedagogue in the nursery who wants to work in our really good work community and make a difference for our Nørrebro children. We highly value self-reliance, slowness and routine pedagogy.

At the moment we are rehoused in Østerbro, Nyborggade 23, 2100 Ø, as our lovely institution on Nørrebro, Rådmandsgade1-11, 2200 N, is to be renovated.

We are rehoused from 1 June to 30 March 2027.

We make it easy to be good

We work based on the method “we make it easy to be good,” and this applies to both children and adults.

We believe that children’s intentions ARE ALWAYS good, and so it is our task to understand what lies behind their actions. Through well-planned weekly room meetings we also make it easy to be a good pedagogue, as time is set aside for planning meetings, children’s meetings and evaluation meetings, so our good practice and didactic considerations live in daily life.

In daily work we work with small groups of children in the morning, and in the extended hours we work with three positions – a flyer, a deepener and a caregiver. This ensures that everyone knows what is expected of each other, and that we can give the children a daily life with present adults all day long.

Who are we looking for?

You are educated as a pedagogue, you can be newly graduated or experienced to apply for the position with us. Most importantly is that you stand strong in your professional field and reflect on the things you initiate and do it together with the children.

To find job satisfaction with us, you must be fond of structure and routines, because it is in daily repetitions and everyday situations that we have the best prerequisites for creating development in the children. A small thing like pouring water into a cup can be a large learning arena for a child.

And you get a sparring partner from another room whom you can approach with big and small matters.

We have 48 nursery children distributed over four rooms and 66 kindergarten children distributed over three rooms. From all rooms there is access to our lovely outdoor area.

Our parents say that we are a warm, nice, calm and professionally competent place to come to, and we in the staff group agree strongly. You will get a stable and engaged group of colleagues who collaborate in teams across rooms, so there is always a familiar face to help.

We have two pedagogues and an assistant/reliever in each room. This provides high professional excellence in the house and opportunities for professional sparring and reflection.

Salary and employment terms

The position is 37 hours per week with start as soon as possible. Employment terms follow the applicable collective agreement. In connection with the employment we collect extended references as well as criminal and child-offender checks.
