About the job

Are you passionate about creating safe environments, participation opportunities and development for children with special needs? Are you a clear, present and relationship-competent pedagogue who meets the children with positive expectations and an acknowledging approach?

Then you might be the colleague we need for Kildevældsskolens special department.

We are looking for an engaged and professionally grounded pedagogue who has experience with or interest in the special-educational field, and who wants to be an active part of the children's school and leisure life with ongoing interventions in different groups.

This is a temporary position with a working time of 30 hours per week until 30 June 2027.

About the special department

Kildevældsskolens special department comprises two class blocks: one for pupils with general learning difficulties and one for pupils with difficulties within the ADHD- and autism spectrum.

The special department has space for 140 pupils. In the special classes there are between 8 and 14 pupils, and we work flexibly across classes with group division based on the pupils' academic, social and personal needs.

Pedagogues and teachers engage in a close and binding team collaboration around the pupils. We place high value on interdisciplinary collaboration and believe that together we create the best conditions for the children's wellbeing, learning and development.

We expect that you

  • are present, clear and relation-competent and can create safe and predictable environments for the children
  • are very well grounded in your pedagogical profession and dare to stand by it
  • have an acknowledging, inclusive and resource-oriented approach to children
  • have interest in or experience with special education and children with special needs
  • can work structured and create recognizability and clarity in the children's everyday life
  • have an eye for each child's resources, needs and development opportunities
  • can support children's social skills, participation in communities and personal development
  • thrive in close and binding collaboration with teachers, pedagogues, parents and leadership
  • see parents as important partners and value good and trustful parental cooperation
  • contribute with positive energy, humor and willingness to be part of a community

About Kildevældsskolen

Kildevældsskolen lies beautifully on Østerbro and has good outdoor areas as well as a thorough renovation that has created modern and inviting conditions for the school's pupils and staff.

We value the school's traditions and communities. Music is a natural part of our school life, and the school's choir plays an important role in creating community and coherence across.
