About the job

Do you have experience with citizens in crisis, and do you want to be part of a dedicated team?

At Egmontgården we believe that everyone can do something, wants to do something and does something, and you will often hear us say, ”together we are best,” because we believe in communities and that it is in interaction with others that we develop.

About us

Egmontgården is a municipal crisis center for all genders under the Social Administration in the City of Copenhagen. Egmontgården houses socially vulnerable and crisis-affected people, who can be admitted with or without children in accordance with the Danish Social Services Act sections 109 and 110. Egmontgården is located in Copenhagen Ø and has 87 apartments for singles and single parents.

As an employee at Egmontgården you will work together with engaged, experienced and skilled colleagues, all of whom have a social or pedagogical background.

As a contact person you will be attached to approximately 10-12 residents including any co-registered children, whom you, in collaboration with your team colleagues, have the primary advisory, clarifying and supportive function for. You will also carry out the coordinating role in relation to internal and external partners.

There is also a strong focus on relational work with the residents. Good, safe and developing relationships, which can strengthen the residents during and after their stay at Egmontgården, are prioritized and given high weight. It is expected, in addition to this, that you as a contact person are proactive and participate in social activities with the residents.

We place great emphasis on documenting our efforts and see documentation as an important tool to create coherence around the resident. Likewise that our written clarification of the resident helps open doors to the right offers and possibilities of support in the future.

We offer

  • a high professional level in pedagogical and social work, including work based on narrative, systemic and motivational approaches
  • a cross-disciplinary and engaged staff group
  • work with a high degree of influence and shared responsibility
  • collegial sparring and external supervision
  • focus on a good working environment
  • present and visible management

We expect that you

  • have a social work or pedagogical background, which enables you to perform the role at a high professional level
  • have experience with vulnerable citizens and citizens in crisis
  • can act in unpredictability and maintain overview in stressed situations
  • have an appreciative and respectful approach to residents, as well as to your colleagues
  • are professionally well-founded and reflective, and have strong written and oral skills
  • can work across disciplines and holistically
  • are engaged, flexible and can assist with practical tasks
  • are good at - and have experience with documentation and IT

We would very much like you to reflect in your application on and relate to the following questions:

  • What is something that drives you as a person?
  • What is something you bring into relationships, both as a person and as a professional?
  • How do you balance being personally present and at the same time professional?
  • What does it mean for you to be part of a work community?
