About the job

Educator sought for maternity leave substitute at the Daycare Institution Bakkeskoven in Vodskov

Educator for Bakkeskoven on 37 hours

Do you want to help create safe communities and developmentally rich learning environments for children aged 0-6 years?

As we have a colleague going on maternity leave, we are seeking an educator for a maternity leave substitute of 37 hours per week with a start on February 1st or as soon as possible thereafter.

Bakkeskoven consists of the departments Skoven and Bakken, and the position is in the Bakken department with base in the Vuggestuen (baby unit). We are looking for a colleague who sees the strength in the whole integrated institution and wants to be part of the community around children from 0-6 years.

Who are we?

Bakkeskoven is an integrated day care institution with 20 infants and 60 preschool children. We are part of Dagtilbud Nordvest and work every day to create the best conditions for children's well-being, learning, development and formation.

With us you will meet a staff group focused on professional development, reflection and strong relationships. We believe children develop best when they experience present, attentive adults, safe communities and meaningful opportunities to participate.

We work purposefully with inclusive learning environments and are inspired by the NEST approach, where we focus on creating structures and communities that support all children's participation and development.

At the same time we are so privileged to have Hammer Bakker right outside the door. Nature is therefore a natural part of our pedagogical practice and gives children the opportunity to explore, wonder, play and learn in inspiring surroundings.

Who are you?

You are a trained educator and passionate about making a difference in children's lives. You meet the children with warmth, curiosity and respect and see the relationship as the foundation for children's well-being, development and learning. You have a clear view of your view of children and always believe that children do the best they can and always look behind the behavior.

You want to contribute to a strong working community where we help each other, share our experiences and lift tasks together. You dare to bring your perspectives into play and are at the same time curious about others' experiences and areas of expertise.

We expect you to be an open and approachable person who is focused on children's well-being and communities, can create presence and structure, and want to develop professionally and contribute to the shared pedagogical quality.

What do you get with us?

You will become part of an institution with high professional standards, humor and commitment. We prioritize a good working environment where there is room for sparring, development and shared reflection.

We offer a thorough and safe onboarding, a strong work community with engaged colleagues, an active and collaborative parent group, opportunities for ongoing competence development as well as a focus on professional development and quality in the pedagogical work.

What do the children say?

"An adult who has time for us. One who will build, play, joke and laugh. Someone who gives hugs when we are sad, and who helps us be brave when something is difficult."

Criminal background checks and child safeguarding checks will be obtained before final employment. Salary and terms of employment according to the current agreement between KL and BUPL.
