Educator wanted for Kildebjerget Employment and Activity Program

About the job and the tasks

Kildebjerget is an activity and employment offering for adults with lasting physical or mental impairment under the Danish Social Services Act sections 103 and 104. We have about 30 citizens who use our services daily, and the target group ranges from 18 years old and up.

We are based in scenic surroundings close to both forest and beach. Here we create the framework for meaningful activities, communities, and development, based on each citizen's resources, interests and possibilities.

With us, pedagogical work is closely connected with outdoor life and practical tasks. We have our own fields, a greenhouse, a kitchen and several sheds where we sell vegetables from our own cultivation. In addition, we have a workshop group that handles various service-oriented tasks, including maintenance of shelter sites, tidying up in the forest and at the beach, janitorial duties and creative activities.

We are looking for a pedagogue who wants to actively participate in this community and sees the value in creating development through concrete, meaningful work tasks. For us, it’s not only about what we produce or accomplish, but just as much about the relationships, experiences and successes we create together with the citizens.

You will become part of a small, engaged and interdisciplinary team with an informal tone and a short path from idea to action. Here you will have the opportunity to take responsibility, apply your professional competencies and leave your mark on daily life. At the same time, you help create structure, safety and motivation for the citizens you work with.

Working hours and terms

• Working hours: 32-37 hours per week.
• Working hours: Primarily Monday to Friday 8:00-15:30.
• Start: As soon as possible or January 1, 2027.

• Are a trained pedagogue and want to bring your professional expertise into a practical everyday life.
• Have an interest in working with adults with lasting physical or mental impairment.
• Thrive with outdoor life, nature, cultivation and practical tasks – and preferably want to solve them together with the citizens.
• Can see the pedagogical possibilities in everyday activities and in the small successes that strengthen the individual citizen's coping, independence and quality of life.

• Can work independently and take the initiative to plan and carry out meaningful activities.
• Actively contribute to interdisciplinary collaboration and thrive being part of close teamwork.
• Can create structure, predictability and security in the citizen's daily life.
• Meet citizens and relatives with an appreciative approach, and can reflect on one's own actions and professional choices.
• Are clear and calm in your communication - even in conflict situations, with externally challenging behavior or in other pressured situations.
• Are open to professional sparring and external communication.
• Can communicate clearly, and can give and receive feedback from colleagues, management, citizens and others, including being open to receiving supervision.
• Can prepare daily notes in our documentation system and see documentation as an important tool to ensure quality and coherence in the pedagogical effort.
• Value interdisciplinarity and see diversity as a strength in collaboration.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment according to the current collective agreement, with the possibility to negotiate qualification and job-based pay.
