Then perhaps you are the person we are looking for for our kindergarten at Børnehuset Egholm.

Who are we?

Børnehuset Egholm is a small day care with strong traditions, high professionalism and a close sense of community. We work closely across groups, ages and between kindergarten and nursery. We value our good collegiality, help each other in everyday life and believe that a strong community among the adults helps create the best framework for the children.

We are, among other things, focused on adults’ active participation in play and on creating strong, secure relationships with all children.

Our pedagogical basis

In Børnehuset Egholm we work based on two fundamental beliefs

"With us, children should be allowed to be children."

"Children do the best they can when they can."

These values form the framework for our pedagogical practice and the way we meet the children every day.

In addition, we work with both ICDP and the Circle of Security.

It is not a requirement that you already have education in both areas, but we expect you to be interested in working with these approaches and eager to develop your competencies within them.

How we work

We do this to best plan targeted pedagogical activities that match the children’s development and needs.

At the same time we prioritise large communities across age groups. Therefore we meet several times a week, including every Friday, where we have campfire day and joint activities.

Nature as a learning environment

We actively use nature in daily life and often take advantage of the opportunities our local area offers. We visit, among others:

• Nearby playgrounds
• The library
• The eco-garden
• Green areas and the nature around us

We see nature as an important learning and experiential space that supports children’s curiosity, imagination, movement and sense of belonging.

We are looking for a pedagogue who

• Is a trained pedagogue
• Is present and stable
• Is playful and actively participates in the children’s play
• Has relationship-building in their DNA
• Is curious about their own and shared professional development
• Contributes positively to the community and collaboration in the house

Professional development and collaboration

Børnehuset Egholm is part of Dagtilbud Øst, which consists of 6 institutions and Dagplejen, all operating under a unified day care leadership. Here we meet for common staff meetings and a common staff day, which is why there is also room for sparring across the houses.

As a pedagogue in Børnehuset Egholm you have one hour of weekly preparation time, so there is room for reflection, planning and professional deepening.

In addition we prioritise shared professional development and hold team meetings, pedagogue meetings and staff meetings where we jointly develop our pedagogical practice and strengthen collaboration across the house.

This meeting structure helps ensure that we stand on a common professional foundation and continue to develop the best conditions for the children.
