Pedagogical Night Shift sought for a new citizen team at HabitusHuset Sct. Mortensgaard in Thy

Are you the caregiver who can create calm and security at night? Then this might be the job for you, become part of our fixed night shift team.

This is for you , who are looking for a job where you can bring your pedagogical skills into play and work dedicatedly to provide professional care for citizens with special needs. Here you will work closely with colleagues who – like you – are passionate about helping those who struggle the most.

With us you get great responsibility and the opportunity to take ownership of your tasks. You will become an important part of the house with the possibility to make independent decisions. Collaboration and sparring are, however, a natural part of everyday life, where we are curious about each other and our differences.

Together with your team you will follow an annual cycle that allows time for professional deepening of the pedagogical approach and professional supervision. Your work is built around fixed daily structures, but you will still experience that two days are never the same.

The position is a full-time role, where you work from 21:45 to 08:15 on Fridays in even weeks through Thursday night in odd weeks. Then you have the following week off.

We expect you to have

• A relevant pedagogical or health-related education – such as educator, pedagogical assistant, teacher, social worker, occupational and physiotherapist, SOSU assistant or nurse (must have an interest in the pedagogical field)
• Knowledge of autism, TEACCH and working with people with complex developmental challenges
• Has professional competence that enables you to maintain an overview and make decisions under pressure
• A high degree of empathy, honesty and willingness to take responsibility
• Experience with personal care – otherwise we will teach you
• Driver's license category B

About HabitusHuset Sct. Mortensgaard

HabitusHuset Sct. Mortensgaard is a 10-year-old specialized pedagogical residential care facility consisting of a residential unit with ten places and 3 solo offers. We are specialists in providing people who have pervasive developmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder, congenital brain injury, developmental delay, or outwardly acting behavior, with a predictable and recognizable everyday life with quality of life and self-determination. Our residential facility Sct.

Mortensgaard is located in Ydby at the former nursing home, where our residents and staff are well known in the local community and actively participate in town life. Our 3 solo offers are located on Helligsøvej, Kobberøvej and in Skyum.
