Who are we?

We are 19 energetic colleagues who every day welcome 30 children aged 0-6 years with permanent disabilities and pervasive developmental disorders, autism spectrum disorder and multiple disabilities.

Regardless of whether you meet our pedagogues, physio- and occupational therapists, farmhand, kitchen- or cleaning staff, we all work for a healthy community for the vulnerable and sensitive children. Such a community commits. Therefore we prioritise spending time together to develop ourselves and each other.

Who are you?

In addition to being a world-class colleague in the local area, you are a master at being present and creating structure and safety around you with a clear and acknowledging approach. Perhaps you have worked with PODD, PECS, sign language or other communication methods – if not, we will teach you.

You must be able to express yourself in written and spoken Danish and of course be able to reflect on our pedagogical practice. At the same time you are ready to hop on a cargo bike and take the children out into our wonderful local area or jump into the water when we, once a week, are at the swimming pool with some of the children. And then

• are you a trained pedagogue
• are you passionate about strong parent collaboration and a structured daily life based on both the child and the community
• do you want to work in special education with structure, total communication and Low Arousal
• are you proactive and act with regard to the core task
• do you have a contagious mood, a positive outlook and are good at engaging in respectful collaboration with colleagues and management
• are you good at working in a structured way, having an overview and being holistic
• do you have a flair for administrative tasks and systems.

Your tasks

With us, the days are never the same. You will work closely with our skilled therapists. We have tasks across the house, but also a close collaboration with the speech therapist and psychologist who are employed at the Children’s Centre Copenhagen.

Your working hours will be distributed with approx. 30 hours as a pedagogue in a room on a par with your colleagues and the remaining approx. seven hours for the leadership/administrative tasks.

There is fixed structured supervision, two annual staff days, the possibility to influence your work days and to provide input to professional presentations.

Here you will find us

Guldregn is located at Lykkebovej 9 in Valby. We are open every weekday from 07:15 to 16:15. We hold classroom meetings every Wednesday from 16:15 to 17:15 and staff meetings once a month on Wednesdays until 18:15. We are part of the Special Cluster in the City of Copenhagen. The institutions are spread around the Copenhagen Municipality.

Terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement with the City of Copenhagen and within the framework of local pay formation. We will obtain a child and criminal record check and take references in connection with the employment. You will be employed in Inner City / Østerbro Special Cluster, which consists of eight municipal special day-care offers for children aged 0-6 years.
