Roskilde Municipality is expanding the resource pedagogue team and is therefore seeking new colleagues

Can you lead the way, walk beside and behind? Some children and child communities occasionally need something extra. Not an intervention from a distance, but educators with a sharp eye for relationships and communities who step into everyday life, examine practice together with staff and help bring forth new possibilities for action.

An educator who can lead the way and show a possible path. Walk beside and try solutions together with others. And go behind when the new practice should live on.

Is it you? Then you may be one of our three to five new resource educators.

You are hired for the entire day care area As a resource educator you are not employed at a single preschool, but linked to an area. You become part of a unified resource educator team and work where the need is greatest and in longer-term processes.

The task can be based on a child, a group of children, or a day care. Common to the processes is that you must be close to and participating in the pedagogical everyday life and contribute to better participation opportunities for children in vulnerable positions.

You should not come with a finished answer sheet or take over practice. Through co-practice, professional reflection and concrete actions you will develop solutions together with the staff, so the effort is anchored and can live on.

You will, among other things, do

• support early detection, including among the youngest children
• make the children's perspectives visible in practice
• provide sparring to staff and management
• support structure, professional reflection and documentation
• collaborate with parents and interdisciplinary professionals.

You can create movement and following We are looking for you who

• are comfortable showing pedagogical practice and articulating your considerations
• can give qualified, framework-setting and respectful sparring
• meet staff, leaders and parents with curiosity and respect
• work independently, systematically and flexibly
• thrive with different tasks and workplaces

It is an advantage if you have experience with early intervention, 0-3 pedagogy, co-practice, guidance or interdisciplinary collaboration.

You are not alone You will become part of the resource educator team and have a named area manager as your immediate supervisor. In the individual day care the pedagogical leader handles the daily task management.

The resource educators meet for team collaboration, collegial sparring and professional development. The sparring is supported by pedagogical consultants and area managers.

Practical information Roskilde Municipality has 52 municipal and three self-governing day care centers spread over seven areas. We work to create strong, safe communities and participation opportunities for all children.

The positions are 30-37 hours per week with start date 1 Jan 2027

Salary and employment conditions follow the applicable collective agreement. Criminal records and child protection checks as well as references will be obtained before employment.

Since the tasks are carried out in different day cares, you must be able to travel between workplaces in Roskilde Municipality.
