We are not quite like everyone else

Haraldsgården is Denmark’s largest 24-hour open day care. That means children arrive at different times, and rarely are all children present at the same time. That gives us some special opportunities. More calm. More presence. More time for each child.

We have a healthy economy, low sickness absence, good well-being measures, high parent satisfaction and impressive pedagogical supervision. We are proud of that, but we are not finished evolving.

High professionalism is not just something we write in a job advertisement. At Haraldsgården we work purposefully on the quality of our pedagogical practice. We start from the child’s perspective, work in a structured way and are curious about how we can continually become more skilled. We work, among other things, with KIDS and Marte Meo. The nursery’s department head is educated as a Marte Meo therapist, and you will have the opportunity for sparring, feedback and video analysis of your own practice.

Not to find faults, but to pinpoint all that works – and become even better at it. We believe that high professionalism develops in a community. You don’t need to know everything, but you should want to learn. We have room to play, move and experience the world, and we truly believe in space. We have among other things

• large playgrounds with playhouses, allotment-style houses, swings, climbing opportunities, an ice-cream stand, etc.
• a huge ball court and our own nature base
• allotments on Guldbergsgade next to ByOasen
• bikes, walk-around buses and our own minibuses for short trips.

We are a certified sports institution, and nature and the outdoors are an important part of our pedagogical profile. Little children must use their bodies, explore the world, get dirty, play, experiment and experience something. And the adults must want to be involved.

A strong work community with room for diversity

We are just over 60 staff with different ages, experiences and competences. We expect something from each other. Both professionally, humanly and collegially. We help each other, share our knowledge and take responsibility for the shared work environment. We have humor, good traditions, joint events, DHL, parties and Friday beers or sodas. Who we hope you are?

You are a trained pedagogue (perhaps pedagogical assistant). Whether you are newly graduated or have many years of experience, it matters less. The most important is that you

Terms of employment

The positions are in both the nursery and mini-garden. Working hours are 35-37 hours per week with meeting times between 06:00 and 17:00. You will have the opportunity to become part of the 24-hour schedule with shifts on weekends, holidays and in the evening. Start date when it suits you – we are happy to wait for the right colleagues. Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and within the framework of local pay formation.

In connection with the appointments we will obtain child and criminal records checks and take references. Haraldsgården is smoke-free, also during working hours.
