Educators for House 17 & House 19

Do you want to work with specialized autism pedagogy, where small signals, professional assessments and clear structure make a decisive difference?

We are looking for a trained pedagogue for House 17 & House 19 at Autismtilbuddet Kelsbjergvej – a residential facility for six adults, in each house, with autism, reduced mental function and complex support needs.

The position is for you who are motivated by specialized pedagogical work, where relationships, communication, structure, sensory regulation and behavior understanding are central parts of the core task. You must be able to work closely with the citizen's daily life, read small signals, adjust your support and translate professional observations into concrete pedagogical actions.

Houses 17 and 19 are workplaces for the academically strong pedagogue, who can both create security and direction in daily work and at the same time have a desire to contribute to developing practice.

You will become part of a specialized autism offer in development, where your professionalism, judgment and curiosity matter for citizens' well-being, self-determination and opportunities for a meaningful everyday life.

About the work in House 17 & 19

Houses 17 and 19 are a task for the academically strong pedagogue, who can both create security and direction in daily work and at the same time has a desire to contribute to developing practice. You will become part of a specialized autism service in development, where your professionalism, judgment and curiosity affect citizens’ well-being, self-determination and opportunities for a meaningful everyday life.

Everyday life requires that you can balance clear structure and predictability with flexibility and professional judgment. A plan can change if the citizen's needs change, and you must be able to adjust your pedagogical support without losing direction or professionalism.

About the target group and the pedagogical core task

The citizens at Kelsbjergvej have different resources and support needs. Many can manage a range of everyday tasks with the right pedagogical support, while others need close, individually tailored support for large parts of the day.

The pedagogical core task is to understand the person behind the behavior and design a support that prevents strain and strengthens the citizen's well-being, self-determination, participation and mastery.

Citizens may, among other things, have challenges in relation to

• Sensory processing and sensory regulation
• Emotion regulation and self-control
• Overview, structure and predictability
• Change, demands and alterations
• Participation in everyday life, activities and communities

We continuously work with observation, reflection, documentation and evaluation, so support is adapted to each citizen’s current needs. Together with Autismtilbuddet Tornhuset and Hjerneniskaderrådgivningen we are working towards contributing to specialist tasks for VISO.

About you

We are looking for a trained pedagogue who wants to work specialized with adults with autism and complex support needs. You must be able to combine a strong pedagogical core competence with curiosity, relationship skills and a desire to develop practice together with others.

• Can create clear structure, visual support, calm and predictability – even when plans change
• Are good at building relationships and reading the citizen's communication, signals and needs
• Can observe and analyze behavior and use your observations to prevent strain and create well-being
• Can work systematically with goals, sub-goals, evaluation and professional documentation in daily life
• Contributes actively to team collaboration and shares professional reflections in a constructive way
• Are comfortable with using IT in daily life and have a driver's license

You do not need to know all of our methods in advance. What matters is that you have a strong pedagogical core competence, want to learn and are motivated to develop your practice together with others.

About Autismtilbuddet Kelsbjergvej

Autismtilbuddet Kelsbjergvej is a specialized housing and activity offer for adults with moderate to severe autism and reduced mental function.

The facility opened in April 2025 in new, specially built premises in scenic surroundings at Fangel in the southern part of Odense. Kelsbjergvej consists of four houses with a total of 35 residential places and an activity offer with 40 places under the Social Services Act § 104. In addition, we have our own kitchen and shared administration.

We are around 90 employees with different professional backgrounds. You will among other things collaborate with pedagogues, pedagogical assistants, social- and health assistants, occupational therapists and other professional groups. The interdisciplinary and cross-professional collaboration is an important prerequisite for creating coherence and quality in citizens’ lives.

Salary and employment terms

Start date 1 November 2026.

The position is as a rule 37 hours per week or as agreed.

Working hours cover all days of the week between 7.00 and 23.00 with weekend work every other weekend.

The position is paid according to the applicable collective agreement. The expected salary level is provided before a possible interview and depends on experience and qualifications.
