Educators sought for Præstegårdsskolen Special Education Center

At the Special Education Center we are seeking from 1 December 2026 2 pedagogues for a permanent and a fixed-term position until 31 July 2027. The positions are between 32-37 hours and are primarily distributed in the hours 6:30-17:00. The tasks will take place in both the school and after-school part (CFO).

The Special Education Center is situated as an independent unit at Præstegårdsskolen. We are a segregated offering to students in Esbjerg Municipality with physical and mental disabilities. We have approximately 120 pupils from 0th – 10th grade. Each class houses between 5-10 students, with whom you will be part of a fixed team. You should therefore be specialized in pedagogy and have a desire to work with children with physical and mental difficulties. If you have competences within the special educational field, preferably within the autism spectrum, it would be an advantage but not a requirement.

At the Special Education Center we are about 90 employees distributed among teachers, pedagogues, pa/pedagogical assistants and physiotherapists.

Salary and terms of employment are set according to the applicable collective agreement, including the provisions relating to local pay formation . In addition, depending on a concrete assessment, qualification and/or function allowances can be agreed depending on the content of the position as well as your experience and qualifications.

When employed in the position, a criminal record certificate must be submitted, and a child-related criminal record check will be obtained.
