Welcome to Horne Child City

Horne Child City is part of Trane School & Child City and is located in scenic surroundings with strong local communities. We are a small and manageable school with combined classes from kindergarten to 6th grade, where community, outdoor schooling and interdisciplinary collaboration are the sustaining elements.

Every week we have a fixed outdoor schooling day, where children's curiosity and learning move from the classroom out into nature. It gives us ample opportunity to strengthen both relationships, motor skills and learning across senses and subjects.

We are about 80 pupils at the school. In our after-school program (SFO) there are about 45 wonderful children and a group of cheerful, sometimes crazy, and active adults with strong collaboration.

We have independent SFO facilities and very good outdoor areas.

We are looking for you who

• Are passionate about the work in SFO and the primary school.
• See collaboration with colleagues and parents as a natural and important part of your role.
• Want to work in an interdisciplinary team and actively participate in the community.
• Master both structure and spontaneity – and can bring calm, play and learning into play.
• Are a trained educator and preferably have experience as school educator and with SFO (not a requirement).

About Trane School & Child City

We are an organization with five departments – distributed across Tistrup, Horne and Thorstrup – which work holistically with the lives and learning of children and young people from 0-18 years. We work strategically with children's development in both academic and social communities and have a focus on transitions, parental collaboration and locally anchored solutions. This also applies in Horne, where parents are an active and important part of the Child City’s daily life.

Terms of employment

• The position is 30-37 hours, depending on agreement.
• The position is to be filled as soon as possible.
• Salary and terms of employment according to applicable collective agreement.
• Employment interviews are held on an ongoing basis, but no later than week 48.
