Educators wanted for the Sedenhuse residential care facility

Are you keen to use your professional skills in a way that can be felt in everyday life? At Botilbuddet Sedenhuse we are looking for educators who want to help create safe, inclusive and developmental environments for residents with special needs.

You will become part of a daily life where collaboration, respect and citizen involvement are important. Here there is room for both professional deepening, good ideas and the flexibility that sometimes is needed when no day is exactly the same.

About the job At Sedenhuse, 40 residents aged 21-50 live here. All have a need for extensive guidance and practical support for ordinary daily functions and some for personal care, etc. Sedenhuse primarily serves people with developmental disabilities, as well as residents with dual diagnoses, who are in the process of developing their own independence and mastery of practical skills. The residents' functional levels vary, but common to all is the need for support for an active life on their own terms.

As an educator you help plan, implement and evaluate targeted pedagogical efforts in close collaboration with the residents and your colleagues.

The work takes place in a multidisciplinary and self-managed team, where dialogue, reflection and constructive communication are part of everyday life. You will need an overview, creativity and resilience – and the ability to stay true to the professional, even when the day takes an unexpected turn. Support the residents in everyday life with a focus on independence and well-being.

• Contribute to social development through targeted pedagogical interventions
• Involve residents in decisions concerning their lives

• Collaborate with colleagues across professional disciplines
• Participate in development work and create a common direction together as a team

What you get with us You will have a permanent employment with salary and pension according to the applicable collective agreement, with pay depending on experience and qualifications. Working hours are typically between 30 - 37 hours per week with the possibility of some flexibility and influence.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms are according to the applicable collective agreement between KL and the relevant professional organization.

The shifts are scheduled between 06:45 and 23:15. Work takes place in day and evening shifts, as well as every other weekend.
