Property Maintenance Worker

We are looking for a versatile craftsman type who can do a bit of everything – and who notices the tasks before others have to point them out.

Fausol is seeking a practical and independent property maintenance employee for our premises in Bjæverskov. The property consists of offices, a large warehouse, and outdoor areas, and there are therefore many different tasks both indoors and outdoors.

It is important to emphasize that this is not primarily a job of lawn mowing, sweeping and maintenance of outdoor areas. We are looking for a person with carpentry/handyman experience who can handle a large part of the daily maintenance of a commercial property.

The tasks can include, for example

• Painting of walls, ceilings, doors, gates and woodwork, as well as minor plastering and sealing work.
• Carpentry and cabinetmaking tasks such as repairs of doors, frames, moldings, shelves, fixtures, woodwork and smaller building parts.
• Installation and mounting of shelves, cabinets, signs and other fixtures.
• Minor plumbing tasks such as replacing gaskets, taps and toilet parts, as well as troubleshooting smaller problems – where the work does not require authorization.
• Smaller electrical-related tasks that may legally be performed without authorization, as well as identifying faults and coordinating with an electrician when necessary.
• Repair and adjustment of gates, doors, locks, handles and fittings.
• Ongoing maintenance of the warehouse, offices and other buildings.
• Practical improvements and minor renovations.
• Maintenance of outdoor areas, including grass, planting, cleaning and minor repairs.
• Contact and coordination with external craftsmen for larger or authorization-requiring tasks.

We are not necessarily looking for someone with one specific trade certificate. You may, for example, have a background as a carpenter, mechanic, janitor, property service technician or something completely else. The crucial thing is that you are practically skilled and used to solving things yourself.

You should be the type who goes through the warehouse and thinks: “That door is hanging – I’ll fix it” , or notices that something needs painting, adjustment or repair and gets it done.

We emphasize that you are self-reliant, solution-oriented and responsible. You should be able to assess what you can solve yourself and when we need to bring in an authorized professional.
