About the job

Would you like to help create safe and secure surroundings for the municipality's users and employees?

In Facilities Management we are looking for two employees for self-inspection and fire safety. You will have an important role in ensuring that the municipality's buildings meet the applicable requirements, and that inspections, follow-ups and documentation are carried out with high quality and professional pride.

We do not necessarily require people with a specific education. Instead we are looking for people with experience, common sense, technical understanding and strong personal integrity, who can communicate in a proper manner. We believe that the best solutions are created by employees who take responsibility, work properly and dare to be honest, even when something is not functioning as it should.

It cannot be ruled out that there may be a need to lend a helping hand to colleagues in technical operations, which is why it is important that you also contribute to a shared task solution when required.

Your tasks

  • Conduct self-inspection of the municipality's buildings.
  • Inspect escape routes, fire doors, signage and other fire-technical conditions.
  • Register and document inspections and deviations.
  • Follow up on errors and deficiencies in collaboration with colleagues, institutions and suppliers.
  • Contribute to ensuring compliance with laws and internal procedures.
  • Support a culture where safety and quality are prioritized highly.
  • Participation in all fire inspections of the municipality's buildings
  • Registrations and feedback to the respective authorities.

We imagine you

  • Have experience from property management, technical service, the crafts sector, the emergency services or similar areas.
  • Have knowledge of fire safety.
  • Can work independently and in a structured way.
  • Are familiar with digital systems and documentation.
  • Have a driver's license for a passenger car, throughout the employment.

As a person we especially value that you

  • Act with integrity and treat both citizens, users and colleagues with respect.
  • Show responsibility and follow through on tasks without compromising quality.
  • Are loyal to common decisions and contribute constructively to collaboration.
  • Are honest and dare to say when something is not as it should be.
  • Have the courage to ask curious questions and challenge conventional thinking when it can create better solutions.
  • Trive with freedom under responsibility and be able to prioritize your tasks in a workday with many points of contact.

Our expectation of collaboration

We believe that trust is built through actions. Therefore we expect our employees to meet others with respect, take responsibility for their own tasks and contribute to a working community where people help each other and speak openly about both challenges and solutions. For us it is more important to do the right thing than to find an excuse.

We offer

  • An independent and meaningful role with great importance for the municipality's buildings.
  • Opportunity for training and competence development within fire safety.
  • Skilled colleagues and an informal, friendly tone.
  • A manager who places high value on trust, responsibility and professional development.
  • Salary and terms of employment according to the applicable collective agreement.

The most important for us

You do not need to have the perfect educational background. If you have experience, technical understanding and a natural approach characterized by integrity, loyalty, responsibility and honesty, we would very much like to hear from you.

Evening and weekend work may occur.

Practical information

The application deadline is November 15, 2026 .
