About VBI Group

VBI Group is a family-owned company, founded in 1980. We buy and sell new and used buses. We have offices in Christiansfeld, Kliplev and in Nekla, Poland and deliver hundreds of buses per year to customers across Europe.

In the Kliplev department, which will be your primary workplace, we build base vehicles such as Mercedes Sprinter, Iveco Daily and MAN TGE into finished minibuses in classes M1, M2 and M3 – including wheelchair buses.

We are a growing company. Decision-making is fast and the tone is informal.

The job

As a homologation and quality engineer you will play a central role in the work with type approvals, documentation and quality.

Your primary tasks will include

• Responsibility for EU whole-vehicle approvals (WVTA) under Regulation (EU) 2018/858 as second-stage manufacturer.
• Handling of new approvals, extensions and information documents.
• Creation of vehicles in NIV/Danish Transport Authority systems as well as individual approvals.
• Preparation and control of CoC documents.
• Control of partial approvals on components such as seats, seat belts, windows, lighting and ramps.
• Responsibility for CoP controls (Conformity of Production).
• Participation in audits with authorities and technical services such as IDIADA and TÜV.
• Maintenance of our quality management system (QMS) and cybersecurity system (CSMS/UN R155).
• Close collaboration with production, sales and our factory in Poland.

We imagine that you

• Have an engineering degree, e.g. as a mechanical or production engineer, or an equivalent technical background.
• Work in a structured, thorough and analytical manner.
• Are keen to learn technical rules, standards and documentation.
• Can work independently while collaborating across the organization.
• Speak and write Danish, English and German.

Experience with vehicles, type approval, inspection or quality management is an advantage but not a requirement. The most important is that you have a good technical understanding and a desire to learn a specialized area. You will have good opportunities to shape and develop your own area of work.

If you come from northern Germany, you do not need to know Danish from the start, as long as you speak German/English and are willing to learn Danish.
