It is important to maintain a constant focus on a good working environment including continuous work with sickness absence at the social area offerings. It strains the staff when colleagues are missing, and it affects the efforts for the users of the social offerings.

We are therefore looking for a new colleague who can continue preventive efforts and development of leadership practice including support for systematic handling of concrete absence.

You will work with different types of initiatives based on the experiences we have built up through a two-year project funded by the Agency for Labour Market and Recruitment.

Through sparring and advising managers and sickness absence coordination you will help to support a good working environment – among other things through sickness absence initiatives – in the regional social area.

Becoming part of a work community where we make each other better

You will be employed in the Social Area Administration in Region East Denmark in the unit called HR, IT and Communications. The total administration comprises about 50 colleagues with different professional backgrounds who work closely together to support and create development in the regional social area.

You will have extensive contact with leaders and HR staff at the 32 housing and treatment facilities that make up the social area in Region East Denmark. The administration is housed at two locations: Regionsgården in Hillerød and in Regionshuset in Sorø. The offerings are located across Zealand.

You have solid experience in strengthening presence, attendance and job satisfaction as well as coordinating absence interventions, and you are good with relationships

The job requires that you have

• Specialized competencies in sickness absence and the working environment and experience that can be translated to the specialized social area
• Experience with interview and reflection techniques and concrete experience with sickness absence conversations
• Experience in using data as a central tool for follow-up
• Presence and experience in translating knowledge, interventions and collaboration with leaders
• Teaching competencies

More about the social area in Region East Denmark

On 1 January 2027, Region Hovedstaden and Region Sjælland merge and become Region East Denmark.

The regional social area will be responsible for the operation and development of 32 offerings within the highly specialized social and special education area with a total turnover of about DKK 3 billion. The offerings include housing and day services, special education, activity and employment offers, rehabilitation, communication centers, hostels, crisis centers and secured units for young people.

The target groups are children, youths and adults with very different prerequisites, needs and challenges. Common to them is that they do not master life without help from professionals – but otherwise have many of the same desires for life as everyone else.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the agreement for academics employed in regions etc.

The position is full-time with expected start 1 January 2027.

It is a condition of employment that you have a driving license and a car available. Your travel expenses are covered by the State's travel rates and rules thereon.

The aim has been to strengthen presence, attendance and job satisfaction – and thereby prevent and reduce sickness absence

The project has combined preventive actions and development of leadership practice with a more systematic handling of concrete absence

There has been worked practice-oriented and locally adapted with leaders and working communities instead of one common standard solution

Data, leadership follow-up and absence conversations have been central tools to translate knowledge into action
