HR consultant to support sickness absence

The position is full-time with start on 1 January 2027.

About us

HR Personnel and Negotiation is a part of the Administration at Hospitals Unit Central Denmark. We are a dedicated group of HR consultants who daily work to support managers and employees across the hospital unit's departments in Viborg, Silkeborg, Hammel, Skive and Lemvig. Our professional field is broad and covers, among other things, personnel law, collective agreements, negotiation, recruitment, onboarding, occupational health and safety, and organizational development.

Your tasks

As an HR consultant you will play a central role in supporting leaders in handling sickness absence and in developing a strong and coherent sickness absence approach across the hospital unit. You will work closely with skilled colleagues, and you will experience a daily life with depth, breadth, and pace.

Your main tasks will be

• Consultation and guidance to leaders in handling frequent and long-term sickness absence
• Dialogue on establishing good and appropriate processes that support both employees’ well-being and the hospital unit’s operation
• Handling of termination cases, including ensuring correct processes in accordance with applicable rules and collective agreements
• Development and improvement of the sickness absence efforts across the hospital unit together with your colleagues as well as various ad hoc tasks

Who are you?

We envision that you have a master's degree in the social sciences or equivalent experience and continuing education. You have strong relational skills and experience with – or talent for – handling difficult conversations. You know how to meet both managers and employees at eye level, and you can navigate in a trustful way in sensitive situations where both professionalism and humanity are crucial.

You thrive in a high-tempo environment with many deadlines and sometimes short response times, and you have experience from a complex organization and with case handling. You work structurally and independently, but you also seek sparring when appropriate, and you contribute to a strong professional community where we pull together. Finally, you have a driving license, as we have departments in Viborg, Silkeborg, Hammel, Skive and Lemvig. There is the possibility to use the hospital’s loan cars.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement in the field.

Employment is with Region Midtjylland with service initially at Hospitals Unit Central Denmark, Administration.
