Experienced IT consultant with broad professional profile and strong technical understanding

Would you like to help strengthen data governance, integrations and IT operations in an organization where professionalism and flexibility are paramount? Fors is seeking an experienced IT consultant with a generalist profile – preferably with competencies in networking, SQL, Azure data platforms and integrations.

Your role at Fors

Fors has recently brought IT operations in-house and is in the process of building an internal IT department in close collaboration with the rest of IT in the organization and our IT provider. This gives you a unique opportunity to shape processes, collaboration interfaces and areas of responsibility – and to help shape how we work with IT going forward.

You will play a central role in creating an overview of our data and integration landscape, so we can support the business's needs for insight, automation and efficient operations. You will be involved in both development and operations tasks and will eventually be responsible for several of our central IT platforms, such as Cisco ISE, Logserver, Nozomi and Mugato.

You will be part of a small IT team consisting of an IT consultant, an IT support specialist and a team leader. It is therefore important that you thrive in a versatile role and are willing to help across tasks and colleagues. Depending on needs, you may also handle user inquiries, where you answer questions and resolve challenges for our users via phone, email and the service desk.

You will also be involved in

• Maintenance and operation of IT infrastructure: Participate in the daily operation and maintenance of our central IT systems, server environments, on-prem AD, networks, O365 and Azure Entra ID – in close collaboration with our IT provider.
• Implementation and upgrade of IT solutions: Contribute to introducing new systems and upgrades in collaboration with both internal and external partners.
• Administration of Windows clients and IT policies: Work with the operation and administration of Windows clients as well as management of policies via GPOs, Intune and Autopilot.
• Coordination and collaboration: Collaborate with both our external operations partner and internal system owners to ensure well-functioning IT solutions.

Who are you?

You have experience from a similar role and strong competencies within Windows servers, clients, networks and general IT operations. Azure is part of the role, particularly for the administration of Entra ID, Intune and Autopilot.

We also place great emphasis on your experience with SQL, including administration of SQL instances and databases. Experience with Azure Data Lakehouse and Fabric is a clear advantage, as data and integrations become an increasingly important focus area. You don’t need to be a specialist in all areas, but we expect you to have a solid SQL foundation and a desire to develop further in both data and modern Microsoft platforms.

You work independently, take responsibility and are motivated by delivering results together with others. You thrive in a team where we pull together, share knowledge and help each other across tasks.

You communicate clearly and professionally in Danish – both in writing and orally – and are able to make IT understandable for all users.

The fine print

The workplace is at our location on Betonvej in Roskilde, but some days you will have tasks at our other locations in Holbæk, Lejre and Roskilde municipalities. Therefore it is a prerequisite that you have a valid driver's license (minimum category B).
